  1. Add integration to home assistant

Working with Nubu Casa, it would be really useful to get all the apps integrated securely with Home assistant. Google calendar already has an integration. The ability to fire off automations when an email arrives, an event is happening, a new file has been added to the drive or if the VPN Disconnects for example.

  2. I want to be able to access my open tickets (requests for help)

I want to be able to access my open tickets (requests for help) to evaluate its contents and status, so that I can get track and monitor my tickets and status.

  3. Subject: Feature proposal – “Proton Phone” built on Pixel 7

    Hi Proton Team,

I’m a long‑time Proton user and recently explored turning a Pixel 7 into a dedicated “Proton phone” that makes Proton Mail, VPN, Drive, Pass, and Calendar the native, system‑level experience.

    Key points of the concept:
    - Hardened OS base (GrapheneOS) with verified boot and Titan M security.
    - Proton apps installed as system apps for privileged permissions.
    - Auto‑connect Proton VPN with kill‑switch, default mail/calendar handlers, and a unified “Proton Settings” UI.
    - Optional Magisk module for seamless OTA updates of Proton apps.
    - Full‑device encryption, firewall rules, and minimal bloatware.

    I’ve drafted a step‑by‑step implementation plan and would…

  4. Create email filter within message.

I use filters and labels a lot.

Instead of having to dig into Settings > Filters, I'd like to just select the sender address and Add to Filter or Create New Filter.

I'm most often in the MacOs desktop app but sometimes in the iOS app.

  5. Mailbox for Unread E-mails in ProtonMail

    • Dedicated mailbox for unread emails:
An inbox that displays only unread messages would be very useful for users who want to focus solely on new items.

    • Persistence of the “Unread” filter:
As an alternative, when applying the “Unread” filter in the “All Mail” mailbox, it would be helpful if this setting remained active when navigating between folders and upon returning, avoiding the need to reapply the filter each time.

  7. New Product: Proton Lens

There is Google Lens, but they don't respect our privacy, a private Proton Lens would be good, I would really appreciate it!

  8. There should be a button in the email client that opens attached files immediately without having to save file to disk with name.

Currently you click a file attachment and it might say "Preiew for this file type is not supported" and the email client displays a Download button. In other mail clients, there is usually an accompanying "Open" button, which saves the file to a temporary location on the harddrive and then opens it with the system's registered associated program.

On windows, they use the "open" utility, on linux it's xdg-open, etc, you can avoid having to save a file with a name to a location and then find that file to open it by just having a button that says "Open"…

  9. New Product: ProtonCut

I’d like to suggest that Proton develop and release a new service called "ProtonCut," similar to CapCut, focused on easy video cutting, merging, and editing, with optional AI-based features. This service could integrate directly into the Proton ecosystem, protecting user privacy while allowing cloud uploads of projects to Proton Drive.

Free users could access basic editing tools, while advanced Pro features—such as high-end AI editing, premium transitions, and export options—would be exclusive to Proton Visionary, Proton Unlimited, Family, Duo, or subscribers to "ProtonCut Plus," a new subscription that, like VPN Plus or Mail Plus, offers only the premium benefits specific…

  10. Proton Gateway for all services

The idea would be to have secure gateways (managed by Proton AND the community, via a Proton installer and/or procedure) with no logging capability whatsoever, systematically masking the IPs that "Proton services" can see. These gateways would be "black boxes" for those who install them at home, ensuring that absolutely no data or logs could be retrieved or used.

Let me explain: Similar to what SimpleX.chat does, for example, these relay servers/gateways would be systematically contacted by Proton apps (mobile, desktop, etc.), masking the use of Proton services (especially if connected to a server managed by a community member) and…

  11. Hide unused labels instead of delete them

Sometime a label is useful during a certain period of time. Despite a label is no longer applied to new messages, it is still important to be kept to tag old ones. For example, a messages related to a renovation you've made to your house in the past. The renovation is over, but you want to keep the history.

For the sake of cleanliness, It would be useful to be able to hide unused old label from the side bar. Messages tag with that label should still be found though.

  13. Ability to backup only the new photos you take on your phone, not all photos

It would be nice to have the option to backup only the new photos you take on your phone, not all photos that are on your phone, because I already backup my photos of the previous years in seperate folders in Proton Drive. Now I have duplicate photos. I have the same photos in seperate folders in Proton Drive and the same photos in the Photos tab. With this way I use a lot of my storage. I used to use the Sync.com app and they had this feature.

  14. Transparency in Digital Services Builds Long-Term User Trust

ProtonMail has earned user trust by putting privacy and transparency first, and this approach could be extended even further through clearer explanations of how internal metrics and limits are calculated. When users manage subscriptions, storage usage, or plan upgrades, simple and transparent breakdowns help them make informed decisions without relying on guesswork.

Across the web, users are increasingly familiar with tools that clearly show how numbers are derived, similar to how platforms offering <a href="https://calcolostipendioneto.it/">simulazione busta paga mensile</a> explain structured calculations step by step. Applying the same clarity to ProtonMail’s account-related data would reinforce confidence while fully respecting privacy-first design…

  15. Need a feature to manually pick "icons" for our codes in the new standalone Authenticator app

As the title suggests. The app is new and lacks this basic feature. When I create an 2FA secret, it just selects the service icons itself and I can't manually change the icons to my liking. Please add a way for us to change it.

Also the Authenticator app seems to lacks many services icons please add them.

  16. Beef up passkeys by requiring hardware security key or 2fa code authentication

I am concerned with how easy it is to activate passkeys with Proton Pass. Let's say that someone's child or sibling were using their computer and snooped at their account, either on purpose or on accident. If that account doesn't have a passkey they would have to at least click through to autofill the username/password boxes, which at that point their conscious would tell them this is wrong and they might turn back (we can hope!). But if that account uses a passkey, it is as easy as clicking the pop-up and it is easier for someone to be tempted…

  17. Proton Sandboxie

You could run apps inside of a sandbox. Proton's zero knowledge architecture would mean that non of the info inside could be read by proton or anyone.

  18. Hardware Password Manager (Ledger-Style Keyboard Emulator)

I would like to propose the development of a Proton hardware password manager, similar in concept to Ledger (used for crypto), but designed specifically for secure credential storage and input, while fully aligned with Proton's privacy principles.

    🔐 Core Concept:

A dedicated, tamper-resistant USB hardware device that:

    Stores passwords securely offline

Presents a list of stored usernames only to the user

Prompts the user on-device (via a screen + buttons or touchscreen) to select and approve password entry

Emulates a USB keyboard to type the selected password into the target system (not via clipboard or memory injection)

    This way, passwords…

  19. Add "invite others to Proton" to the dashboard or menu

Under the user profile is 'help and feedback' but why not offer a hotlink for "send invitation for Proton service" to friends and colleagues. Of course, I will copy/paste the homepage and email to my Japanese colleagues, but having the "invite now" button might be attractive to the Proton users who want to invite others to join. For your consideration.

  20. Account Lockdown

Sometimes we do our best to secure our private information and data - this could be by using ProtonPass to store emails and passwords or ProtonMail for secure communication.

Despite this, things can go wrong and in some cases, do go wrong. There are various ways third-parties can attempt to access our account to get the vital information we store, so what happens when they do?

Maybe an ex-partner found out your password or you fall victim to a phishing attack; your data exposed, computer maybe hacked - you may not realise it, but at any second someone could access…
