Offline access
It would be helpful if you could add, amend or do other things in Pass when there is no internet connection. It’s prohibitive without this ability.
Subscribers now have access to offline view with the introduction of the Proton Pass desktop app for Windows:

I lost internet last night due to a fire in the neighborhood. The desktop version of the app at first asked me for my password to access my passwords offline. I don't know my password because it is stored in the app. It creates a catch 22. I went to my phone (which was connected to my WiFi that had no internet access) and the phone app wouldn't let me access my password to be able to type it in manually to the desktop app. Luckily, the cell phone data service was still working, so I just disabled wifi on my phone and was able to find my proton password to view on my phone and type manually into the Desktop app on my computer. However, a few hours later, the desktop app completely logged me out and required me to sign in (which of course requires an internet connection).

Currently browser extension for Proton Pass (e.g. Chrome) does not allow to access vault data without internet connection.
This prevents usage of Proton Pass browser extension for storing login data for WiFis (to enter credential, in order to go online) -

Same here, but also re. Drive. Before my (frequent) travel for work to remote areas in Central America I have to download my whole workfolder to the local HD, in order to have access to my work in areas without internet connectivity, and then upload/sync it again when back from travel. Not very efficient (nor secure). Pass' offline functionality doesn't work on my computer for some reason (have tried it several times). I'm a big fan of Proton and its mission, but for me this is basic functionality that is missing if I can't access my own information when and where I want to.

Please make the different products work offline.
The two I currently have issues with are the Mail and Pass.
Often times I need access to those when I do not have internet access.Other companies manage to create a synced email client (gmail) or synced password manager (LastPass).

Well, my desktop is online all the time. It's much more likely for mobile deviced to go offline. But it's good to see that you are working on it. I am eager to switch from Bitwarden, but right now there are too many crucial features missing. Like this one.

For me the crucial thing is a browser addon offline support. I use firefox and with no internet I cannot even log into my router to check what's going on :)

I am running Linux and the .deb version of Pass seems to be working well. That said, I tried accessing the data with my wifi shut off, just to see how it reacted, and it requires my Proton password, which is ## characters of random letters and digits, I have NO idea what my Proton password is, nor do I want to know it. I would be unable to unlock my off line Pass application. A separate password, or length required PIN would be ideal.

Can we please have this for Linux as well?
It really baffles me how little attention even Proton pays to Linux, especially with it being widely used in the privacy oriented community which Proton is trying to align itself with.

@Proton that's great news and I have it already enabled for the Windows app, but is it also planned for the mobile apps? Already many times I had to wait until the sync was finished just to Auto-fill a password - thats's pretty frustrating.
Best regards from Germany :)

Its my understanding that a standalone application is planned for ProtonPass. It would be good if the user could login to the installed application and the browser addon connected to the application (like keepassxc). I find it quite frustrating when a browser addon requires an open session in the browser.

I recently ran into this issue that I needed to sign-in to my wireless ISP provider while on a plane and then later I also needed to sign-in to the hotel WiFi. When behind the captive portal, I'm unable to auto-fill the form to enter my credentials. Offline cached credentials (locally encrypted w/ password + seed, of course) in the browser extension would solve this.

I'm currently forced to use another password manager in addition to Proton Pass so that I can have access to passwords off-line. I'm regul;arly in situations where internet isn't available or is unreliable.

I keep a keepass vault in my proton drive and only use protonpass for creating hide-my-email aliases... A bit clunky, but the best of both worlds. It would be nice if protonpass could just use keepass vaults; no need to re-invent a worse wheel.

Proton Pass is not an option for me without offline access.
I signed up with Proton intending to migrate off 1Password, since I didn't know my vault would be inaccessible without internet access. So I have a 1-year Unlimited subscription I cannot use.
Please include this basic feature in the forthcoming macOS application.

This would be the solution. I recently faced the following problem: I signed out from the mail but then, when I wanted to reconnect, I had to use ProtonPass to get the mail password. The bad surprised I had is that ProtonPass was disconnected as well and it was impossible for me to get the password. Fortunately, Proton was still open on other devices, so I did manage to connect again.
Hence, I think that an offline access is really critical, probably via a desktop app (as it works with 1password)

I still use an encrypted Notational Velocity database that contains passwords and other important things to know.

This is a must, right away. To be clear- this is for the web app.

I’m surprised that so obvious capability requires voting. Guys, you will not move on and progress until you implement basic features, and this one is not the last.

Right now it's the most important feature for me.
I need to be absolutely sure I still can access my passwords in the case of Proton's servers going down.
