Unlock Windows desktop app with 2FA
There are already feature requests for a Desktop App and Biometric Sign-In.
Combining this all together, I can unlock Windows via my phone's biometrics. With that, I would have 2FA.
Factor 1: Ownership (Phone)
Factor 2: Biometrics

In addition to being able to unlock Proton Pass on macOS computers with a PIN code it would make sense to also activate TouchID as an alternative unlocking option (just like on iOS devices).

This is definitely a must.

Since the launch of the desktop apps, I wondered why they aren't available to unlock with Microsoft Hello or Apples biometrics. Nor yubi keys seem supported, which is weird for something that is so important to secure properly. The less security it has, the less likely people are going to use them.
This and the lack of system tray availability for Proton Pass makes me use a competitor instead

The biometric lock needs to be independent from the phone built in one. The same way that banking apps do it so access to the phone does not automatically mean access to the Proton services.

How about giving an option in extension settings for using Windows Hello Sign-in, that way it'd be much easier to access extension faster with fingerprint and also would stop someone from seeing your proton pass code.

In addition to a PIN, ProtonPass should allow unlocking of the password vault using the fingerprint reader that many laptos have.
