Global Auto Type
With the Mac app, the Linux version, and the Windows application, please give us the ability to set a global auto-type command like Control + CMD + P. This command should open a window where Proton Pass automatically types in the data, enabling auto-fill in non-web applications, similar to how KeePass does it.

Coming from 1Password, i am missing the option to autofill my user/password in desktop applications. In 1Password this was done by utilizing the Universal Autofill option. Just a press of "Command + \" would request the user/password for any application from the password manager.

Would be good to have, especially when logging into something like Proxmox and using the auto-type functionality on the console window when prompted for password.

It's been months since this feature was requested. Is there any plans of implementation?

Apart from auto detection, please also allow manual selection of which password to auto type, thanks.

We can also do it by having keepass style of autofill as additional feature. The app auto type those on selected field which is controllable by the user. For example on keepassxc the autofill in apps allows you to do something like this username then tab then password then enter or any other combination of command that you can do.

Please add this feature if possible. Proton Pass can detect a window app login and show the account can autofill.

Add the ability to autofill passwords and passkeys for desktop apps on macOS. Doing this would allow users to use Proton Pass on any desktop app that uses the operating system level password integration. It would also eliminate the need for separate password extensions for web browsers on macOS. Any browser that utilizes macOS's password autofill will automatically support Proton Pass for free if the user turns it on in their settings.

This ,on linux, can be a "security beast", let me explain.
On linux, any app can capture clipboard content at any moment, but , to capture keyboard in the background, you need admin rights (on wayland at least) or to be authorised by the user to do it.
Creating a kind of global autofill witch would allow to auto-type text (passwords, could make using proton pass more secure.
This could work using the ibus input engines. -

Now, that we have native apps for basically all operating systems, Proton Pass should have the ability to fill the login for apps outside the browser as well. 1Password does this really well, where you can even link apps to entries in 1Password, so you can fill in those with a single hotkey.

Fairly self-explanitory. The ability to login to Windows apps, and link them, like Android apps, would be very nice. Adding the ability to autofill Discord, Notion, Guilded (discord alternative) and such, would be a big Quality of Life addition.

Autotype so you can enter username and password on sites that don't support copying (for example some Citrix instances)
