Credit card Displays the corresponding issuing organization icon
By using the card number, you can display the corresponding card issuer, such as MasterCard, VISA, UnionPay, JCB, etc. icons to quickly locate the card type. Instead of implementing the current default icon. It would be better if you can customize the icon.

Agree. I would prefer a combined solution though, as with multiple cards from MasterCard it get's again messy.
Show a combined icon of the bank providing the card (large) and the card type (small).
Use a URL field to fetch the favicon of the bank providing the card, e.g. favicon of "Revolut" by providing "https://www.revolut.com/, show this a the main icon of the card.
Use the card id digits to derive whether it is Visa / MasterCard / AMEX, etc and show this as a smaller icon on in the lower right corner of the bank favicon.Ans yes, as someone else commented, please validate the card number (checksum), to make sure there are no typos (or at least provide a warning when it does not match, to allow more flexibility).

Very informative concept! Displaying the issuing organization icon based on the credit card number truly enhances user experience and accuracy. Instead of relying on default icons, integrating the correct brand—like Visa, MasterCard, or UnionPay—adds both trust and professionalism. In the finance world, especially where bridging finance services and secure payment systems connect, such smart UI features help create smoother, clearer, and more reliable digital transactions. Great insight! https://bridgingfinance4u.co.uk/

Oh yes, finally someone voiced what’s been long overdue. Showing the card issuer isn’t cosmetic fluff, it’s part of the user’s verification experience — especially when you’ve got more than 3 active cards in the system and one account spans multiple business cases. In our B2B setup, this became a pain when a client tried to dispute a payment, claiming it was “the wrong card,” even though the transaction was fully valid. We solved it only after integrating https://solidgate.com/dispute-representment/ via a detail enrichment module pulling issuer metadata. After that, unjustified chargebacks dropped by 61%, and the average response time on disputes shrank from 11 to 4 business hours. How are you folks handling card ID in wallets? Anyone using color markers or icons? And how do you deal with virtual cards that don’t return proper BIN data?

Great idea! Identifying the card type by number and displaying the corresponding logo (VISA, MasterCard, JCB, etc.) really increases the convenience https://paydaysay.com/payday-loans-online-same-day/ for users. The ability to customise the icon to suit the needs of the project is another plus, especially if you want to keep the same visual style. I support such implementation!
