Proton Authenticator - more linux options
Please provide more packages for different distributions like Arch for example. Restricting us to just the ones that are currently isn't that great.
Alternatively provide flatpaks for the Apps.

This! I already change to Mulvad for the VPN because of endless issues with keyrings and what-not on an Arch Based distro running Hyprland on Wayland (Omarchy Linux). And now I see that the Authenticator "only" have deb and rpm packages (which I of course am glad to seem to begin with!)
Please support Arch and Arch-based distros too.

Soon all Linux desktop software will be published as Flatpak.

Publishing a VERIFIED FLATPAK is the way to go for:
- Wider distribution support.
- Automatic updates.
- Easy one-click install. The competition (Ente Auth) has long since been on Flathub, and Proton Authenticator needs to be there too if it wants to catch up and compete for the average user who has just switched to a Linux desktop and relies solely upon his distribution's app store to find and install software.

I would be surprised if they released packages for other distros like Arch. However, I do think there would be a significant benefit to releasing an AppImage package for all their apps as it’s fully cross platform across all distros. Getting the additional benefit of portability means it also works on any device.
