Proton pass doesn't work consistently
I really like proton mail app and VPN and want to use pass to stay with the same system but it doesn't show automatic suggestions in gboard consistently enough. It doesn't respond to log in fields that often or offer passwords when needed sometimes I need to delete what's on my clipboard before it works. Very frustrating as having to open the app every time is a chore. I tried to save a recently created login, it took me to the app but then I had to re-enter the details myself, luckily I had the password copied as I previously tried to auto create one by pressing the pass link but on opening the app could not create a new password separately i had to create a new login and do it in the password field, copy it manually and then close the app and then re-enter all the details once the login had been created. I'm trying to understand it better but it doesn't seem to respond reliably which is a shame. I know I am getting alot for my money with the plus subscription and I am looking to upgrade just wish it worked a bit more seemlessly. I'm using opera, I don't know if that makes a difference?Thanks

It is definitely not a mistake on your end.
I have had exact same issues on Nothing Phone, with the Brave browser and with the Vivaldi browser. Proton Pass on Android is generally super inconsistent, even with their own products..
Same can be said for Proton Pass on Desktop. I don't fully know how the Application works, but the extension is also inconsistent and often either does not show up or does not recognize a website as connected to a certain login, and if you press "Add" on the popup and compare the URLs on the original login and the newly automatically added login, they're 9/10 times 100% identical..It seems there are a lot of unhandled edge cases with all of their services and products, sadly..
