Converter for Synology C2 Password Export/Import to Proton Pass
As you can see in this discussion (https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/953584-proton-pass-authenticator/suggestions/46982422-import-from-c2-password), many people are looking to switch from Synology C2 Password to Proton Pass due to the upcoming end of life of C2 Password. Unfortunately, there's currently no built-in import option available.
Since the CSV export from C2 Password isn't directly compatible with Proton Pass, I've created a simple converter that I'd like to share with you! 😊
Download: https://drive.proton.me/urls/B6G074M0NC#bWJWanZWDBe7
Here's how it works:
1. Extract the ZIP file.
2. Run C2-zu-Proton.bat.
3. Select your exported CSV file from C2 Password.
4. That's it! A new file called C2_Proton_Import.csv should be generated.
You can then import this file directly into Proton Pass.
Certain information, such as C2 Password tags, is no longer supported in Proton Pass because it does not offer an equivalent feature. However, this information is not deleted. It remains available as plain text in the Notes field and can still be found using the search function.
Hope this makes the switch a little easier and helps some of you out! Enjoy! 🤗
