Additional Item Export-Import Metadata for Identification and Trackability
This additional idea comes from my experience reimporting a whole Pass dataset, hoping it would replace existing items and update them.
Each item should have additional metadata, such as an import ID and import date-time, perhaps the date-time could be encoded into the import ID. The way this would work is, that at the time of import, an auto-generated import ID would be created for any and all of the imported items, so that multiple items, being part of a package, imported in bulk simultaneously, would share the same import ID and date-time of import.
This would allow for more…

Support ipv6 network addresses in proton pass.
In the areas I work and at home, much of my network stack and equipment is built on IPV6. Proton pass currently reads ipv6 addresses as invalid urls which makes retrieving credentials for direct connections quite inconvenient. This would be an immense QOL feature for myself, and potentially many others that interact with IPV6 networks.
Even something as simple as
http://[fe80::1]does not work.18 votes -
Secure QR codes
Just like secure links or vault sharing.
This will be very efficient for mobile proton pass users because all they have to do is to scan to get your shared data.
Make this for upgraded users as well as for free users (free have vaults)3 votes -
Use plus address aliases (+) with existing aliases
I have a handful of Proton aliases, and I want to reduce their attack surface area (even just slightly).
I wonder if it is possible to add "+Aliases" for existing Proton aliases?

Option to unlock vault with 2FA
I really like how Norton Password Manager requires unlocking the vault with 2FA after opening the browser. This keeps passwords secure even if the computer is unlocked. I'd love to see a similar feature in Proton Pass!

Add support for HTTP basic authentication
If a website requires Basic Authentication, the browser creates a login prompt and at the moment it's not possible to use the proton pass browser extension to fill the credentials, This is already supported by 1Password.

Create login from alias
When I am on a "sign up" page and at the email field I select "Hide My Email" to create an alias, create a login with that alias and autofill the password field on the form.
I currently have to go and copy the email alias, and create a login, create a password, copy password and go paste the password into the form. Automating this process would be ideal.

Option to save the login information from the password generated
As of now, after a password is generated the only option available is to copy the generated password. You then either create a new login information and paste the password there or use your password in a site or app and let proton autosave it. A feature wherein you can save the generated password along with the login information directly from the 'generate password' popup would be useful.

Safari Extension - iOS
Like 1Password and LastPass, add an iOS Safari extension so that autofilling in Safari is much easier and Proton Pass can save new or updated passwords within Safari, rather than having to manually copy the new password and go into the Proton Pass app to edit. I've seen some say that this isn't necessary because of the universal autofill within iOS, but the 1Password extension shows just how useful a dedicated iOS Safari extension can be, and I don't know that I could fully switch to Proton Pass (or any other password manager) without one.

Make Session locking server side not client side
When I log into Proton Pass via web browser you can lock the session with a pin code (under security in settings). The problem I see it only does it for that session. I use different computers and OS, reason I use proton pass via web browser. If the settings were saved server side then the pin code lock will work after a certain time no matter what browser or computer you use.

Add Proton Pass as a Keyboard for Android
It would be nice to be able to select proton pass as a separate keyboard option just like how you can change keyboard layouts for different languages. That way if the little thing I. The predictive text box above the keyboard does not work you have a way to go into proton pass without switching between app Windows.

Add 2FA for logging in to ProtonPass
To just have a PIN code feels a bit unsafe. Could you add 2FA as an option along with the PIN?
Dashlane has this feature already and it adds an extra layer of security. To only have a 6 number pin code for all your usernames and passwords is madness..
