Proton pass trash auto delete
It would be helpful to have a configurable setting to auto delete items in the Proton Pass trash after x days - ex. 30, 60, 90 days.
Mail does this after 30 days (though there are requests out there for longer). This would help clean up pass vaults over time.

Advanced security monitoring
The existing dark web monitoring feature is good, but Proton Pass could offer much more in this area. A real-time dashboard that not only reports data leaks but also provides specific recommendations for action and even suggests automatic password changes for affected accounts would be ideal. Integration with Proton Sentinel could detect suspicious login attempts and proactively warn the user before an attack is successful. A feature that automatically evaluates the security of websites you log into and warns you about unsecure connections or suspicious certificates would also greatly increase security.

Automatic Synchronization Between Proton Authenticator and Proton Pass
Please consider adding automatic synchronization between Proton Authenticator and Proton Pass. Currently, the sync feature within Proton Authenticator works well across devices, but there’s an issue: when I create a new login or account in Proton Pass and add the 2FA code directly there, I sometimes forget to also add it manually to Proton Authenticator.
It would be ideal if both services were seamlessly integrated, so any authentication codes added in Proton Pass would automatically sync with Proton Authenticator. This would save time, reduce manual work, and help prevent losing access to accounts due to missing codes.

Access tokens for use with Pass CLI in automated use-cases
I would like to use Pass with Pass CLI in automated workflows like CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, etc.
Offering access tokens for authentication would allow to revoke access or rotate tokens regularly much easier as it is not necessary to change the primary account's password (which directly breaks all access).11 votes -
Ability to Choose a Default Email for Auto-Fill
Hello,
I would like to request a new feature in Proton Pass.
Currently, the auto-fill function always selects my Proton email address, even when I want to use my personal email.
I tried creating a new identity with my personal email, but auto-fill still defaults to my Proton address. It would be very helpful to have an option to set a default email address for auto-fill, or to manually choose which email should be prioritized.
Thank you for considering this improvement.

Pass should be fully open-sourced, including the server component, in the event of Proton shutting down
A pledge to open source in the event of a shutdown would allow us to keep using the product that we have come to love, self-host it, and continue to develop it publicly, ensuring the long-term success of one of the greatest password managers, beyond any possible corporate circumstances.
At that point, financials and intellectual property are irrelevant and open-sourcing would be for the greater good of the security conscious community.

Proton Pass browser extension keyboard shortcuts
The browser extension of Proton Pass currently only allows to auto-fill passwords with the iframe popup that appears over the login input fields. While this works fine, this popup is distracting and time-consuming to manually click it with the mouse.
Thus, I suggest to add keyboard shortcuts that can be customized in the browser settings. For me personally, autofill of the last used login-credentials for the current page would be the most important feature to get a shortcut, but password/alias generation or manual lock etc would also be nice to have as shortcuts, too.15 votes -
More Keyboard Shortcuts On The Extension
I suggest adding shortcuts for the following actions to improve workflow speed:
• Autofill login for the current website: A single shortcut that fills the username, password, or TOTP code.
• Autofill card.
• Autofill identity.
• Generate and copy a new random password.
• Generate and copy a new email alias.31 votes -
Install pass-cli using a package manager
I tried adding a comment to this existing thread ("Single Linux yum repo for all Proton apps
") here, but couldn't: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/945460-general-ideas/suggestions/50536500-single-linux-yum-repo-for-all-proton-appsInstalling pass-cli via a downloaded bash script is not optimal, and feels very insecure. Instead, people on Linux distributions should be able to use their platform's package manager to install it.
For example, it would be great to have a single yum repository for all Fedora-based proton products, so that I could just do "sudo dnf install pass-cli" (to install pass-cli specifically), or "sudo dnf update" to update everything easily. Instead, only proton-vpn has a yum repo, and…

Add optional Secret Service (D-Bus) key provider for pass-cli on desktop Linux (KWallet / GNOME Keyring)
Body:
On Linux, Pass CLI defaults toPROTON_PASS_KEY_PROVIDER=keyring. According to the docs, this uses kernel key retention (kernel keyring) on Linux to avoid relying on D-Bus in headless/server environments.
Because kernel secrets are cleared on reboot, this causes a forced logout after every reboot even on desktop systems:- Login works
- Reboot
- Next run:
"Local encryption key not found but session exists. Forcing logout … Run
pass-cli loginagain."`
This is expected with kernel keyring, but it’s not a good desktop experience. On KDE/GNOME desktops,
org.freedesktop.secrets(Secret Service) is available via D-Bus and users already rely on KWallet / GNOME…8 votes -
Next-generation passkey management
Proton Pass already supports passkeys, but the implementation could be significantly more refined. A visual overview of all saved passkeys, including information about which devices can use them and when they were last used, is completely missing. Proton should also offer a passkey migration service to assist with switching between devices and automatically detect which services support passkeys but haven't yet enabled them.

Labeled Vault icons and custom icons
I have difficulties to understand what all Vault icons stands for. It would be easier to choose the appropriate icon for your vault if they are labeled. I wish to request these suggestions beneath:
- Labeled Vault icons.
- More icons.
- Custom icons.
Please vote if you also would like to see this and please share your thoughts or even suggestions to be added to this. Thanks in advance.

Let Us Fix the Icons You Can't Fetch: Allow Custom Favicon Uploads
Dear Proton Development Team,
I need to talk about the generic favicon problem in Proton Pass. I find it an issue & very frustrating when your system can’t fetch a simple favicon, and just defaults to the same generic human silhouette for every un-fetched entry. The default icon [A light coloured, Proton purple human silhouette on a dark circular background]
Case in point: I tried to save my n8n.io login. Multiple URLs, no favicon found. What did I get? That same human silhouette favicon....
Not a letter, not a logo....just a silhouette. It’s the same for Similar.ai, Meta/Facebook/Ollama, Fedex &…
