  1. Option to unlock vault with 2FA

I really like how Norton Password Manager requires unlocking the vault with 2FA after opening the browser. This keeps passwords secure even if the computer is unlocked. I'd love to see a similar feature in Proton Pass!

  2. Clickable links after Proton Pass login

After we log onto Proton Pass, we have to open up a new tab for mail, drive, etc. Clicking the PP extension also opens a new tab, so it leaves an open tab behind it if we log right into PP from a fresh browser. To reduce the extra tabs and clicking, the suggestion is to have a few clickable links or icons to the PP page after we have successfully logged in, that way we can be redirected directly to mail, drive, etc. for smoother interface. Thanks for the consideration.

  3. Store/create PGP certificates

As a feature for the android app - I've not yet found a mobile tool that's good for this and keep having to drag out the laptop for kleopatra

  4. Additional password generator functionality

Please allow us to generate different password profiles. There should be more options to accommodate websites that require, or do not allow, the options that Pass currently has.

Some ideas, including, but not limited to:
    - Generating passwords using patterns,
    - Turning on/off character sets,
    - Excluding look-alike characters.

For example, generating passwords with 3 sets of 5 characters:
    AAAAA-AAAAA-AAAAA
    SSSSS-SSSSS-SSSSS

  5. Option for Password generator to not use I/l and 0/O

Another Lastpass feature I miss: when generating a new password, they had the option to exclude ambiguous characters that are hard to read. It doesn't weaken the password significantly, but it really simplifies life when we need to be able to read the characters. We could set this in a checkbox when passwords were generated.

  6. Autologin for specific username/passwords

It would be nice to have a checkbox for each username/pwd combo where we could select autologin. With this, when entering the website, the username and password would be filled in as usual, but the system would also log the user in immediately.

  7. Keyboard shortcuts

Authy's desktop app is (was) handy in that I could switch to the app and start typing, without using the mouse, to pull up the account for which I need(ed) a TOTP code. With Proton Pass, I have to click in the search bar before typing to search. It would be appreciated and convenient if there were a keyboard shortcut to jump to the search bar in the Proton Pass desktop app.

Additionally, it would be beneficial if there were keyboard shortcuts to jump to different fields of the desktop app and to copy or edit them, without having to…

  9. Terminal / command line support

For when building the desktop apps (especially linux), it would be tremendously useful if it can integrate with different terminals to achieve the following:

    1. fill in credentials in terminals

    2. encrypt / decrypt ssh keys automatically before being used

    3. alert on unencrypted private keys found locally (or even store the keys in proton pass if the user wants this and use the keys for authentication directly from the app to the terminal session)

    4. Secrets Vault (something like the one made by Hashicorp, but within proton pass) which can be used in scripts or commands instead of using the actual API key…

  10. Android Watch Support

Enpass has android watch support, but I currently want to switch to ProtonPass (once passkeys are in), and I'd love to see a way to access a password from my Pixel Watch 2 without having to get my phone out of my pocket for one quick lookup.

It could even only show favorite passwords, and not the whole vault. Since on my Android Watch I can swipe a pattern as a password.

  11. Create filters during alias creation

While creating a new Alias in proton pass, I think It would be extremely helpful to be able to create a new filter matching the alias, and select actions such as label, and move to folder.

The idea here is to reduce the steps to create a filter matching the new alias. This should help make it easy to practice good housekeeping and inbox management.

  12. Require password or 2FA to delete data

To prevent accidental or unauthorised user deletion, entering a password or 2FA code will be required when deleting vaults or other items.

  13. Deliver Passwords to Users by Admin

I manage ProtonPass for Business for our company, along with other IT/software matters. With some regularity, I have to create accounts for our staff - for example, Microsoft makes me create an account incl. password for our users so that they can use Teams etc.

It would thus be convenient if I could create the login in ProtonPass and then "drop it", as admin, in the respective user's personal vault. Ideally, after the user's accepts the login, it would disappear from my dashboard because I don't need it and I don't want it to show up when I login to…

  14. Create alias with expiry

Being able to create an alias for use on for example online competitions or surveys, where there is no need to keep a record of that alias or use it again after a certain date. This would help keep the list of aliases in the vault down to a manageable level.
In such a situation of for example entering an online competition, the user could create an alias and enter an expiry date for the alias. The user could then align the expiry date with a date after the competition is finished and winners contacted.
    This feature would be useful…

  16. Option to disable desktop automatic updates

Currently Proton Pass for (Windows) Desktop automatically updates itself without any kind of warning or permission requested.

I would like to have granular options similar to what's found in other software that offers automatic updates:

    1. Automatically keep software up to date. (No prompts)
    2. Prompt me before installing update.
    3. Disable automatic updates.

  20. Keybind to open Desktop App

Keybind to open the Desktop App for example (Win+Shift+Enter), either minimised/out of focus or maybe in the future when in the tray area.
