Proton Pass - Password Manager
How about a service like LastPass or 1Password to make it easy to store all passwords and secure notes either online and synced with other computers and devices, or locally on one device. A secure password manager using the best of ProtonMail/ProtonVPN services
Thanks for your support and feedback! In case you missed the launch of Proton Pass, here are a few useful resources:

Hello,
Do you think it is possible to propose an application for two-factor authentication 2FA ?
With or without synchronization with the proton account, and multi device? -

Like firefox lockwise?

This is an amazing idea. I generate a very secure password, but I copy and paste it from a .txt file on my PC because there simply is no way for me to remember all these symbols and letters.

I like securesafe, it's not the best password manager but I trust it

I like the idea.
But honestly if ProtonDrive would do synced drives with PC and phones, together with KeePass it would be perfect. -

I'd love to see this too. Need it to work with all browsers (e.g., Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.).

I think it will take a lot of time to beat 1password ;)

A Proton Password Manager is definitely a product I will use. Very happy with Bitwarden at the moment but it would be great to have it under the Proton secured wings.

This would be a great idea, especially not that LogMe, Inc. has ended the free version of LastPass as we know it.

I wasn't sure which category to list this under, so my apologies if there is a more appropriate channel, but I'd really love a password manager by my favourite privacy and security advocates.
We've placed our trust in you to guard our most important communications, documents and to assist us in browsing the Web safely and anonymously via ProtonVPN so a password manager seems a logical next step to me?
Thank you.

It seems to me that this is the essential missing product to create a real 100% Proton secure "ecosystem". I 100% approve of the idea and hope you make it happen :)

1Password is by far the best password manager across platform without any user intervention or other quirky BS. If Proton created this service that would be great and would probably switch but it needs to be like them

The whole purpose for switching to Proton, was to leave Google/Gmail.
So how about adding more authenticator apps? Biometrics? (esp face & fingerprint) -

An authenticator app, but designed the proton way.
With features such as:
-Integration with proton mail (Syncing emails that may contain two factor codes for easy access.)
-Encrypted code syncing between devices such as how Authy does is
-A clean UI like how protonmail is designed.
-Login notifications and passwordless login for Proton Family and other supported services.
Basically an authenticator but made the proton way if you get what I mean (Secure and Privacy focused.)

I think this would be a good product considering the new changes to LastPass

There are so many out there, maybe it's not worth the effort to reinvent the wheel. Looking at the ones that are out there, Bitwarden is open source and otherwise seems rather compatible with Proton. It might be easier to improve Bitwarden by hosting a Bitwarden server for Proton users, thereby making Bitwarden a little more secure.
Another possibility is to market Proton servers to all the password managers out there. Proton server storage could be the next checkmark they could earn for their own data security.

Vid and MrBogski, thank you for your great comments. I totally agree.
In addition to those comments, wouldn't it be better to avoid expanding into creating vast mediocre unperfected products? Wouldn't it be better to avoid delaying timelines and perfect what already makes ProtonMail unique and excellent?
+ calendar
+ contacts
+ emailPeople like the idea of one platform to rule them all, but it just isn't realistic. The reason Apple is what it is today, is because they knew how to perfect and focus on a few products. Imagine that level of focus from Protonmail.
One can already find many of the services ProtonMail users are requesting and it would take years for ProtonMail to catch up. Some of these services requested on this site include:
Encrypted Knowledge Cloud Storage: Available with sync.com or pCloud
Zero Tracking Web Browser: Available with Brave, Firefox, or Tor
Password Manager: Available with 1Password or a multitude of othersWhere do you find a good encrypted calendar? Where do you find reliable encrypted email? Where do you find encrypted contacts? The answer is ProtonMail. These 3 services fit nicely together, are unique, and reinforce the utility of one another.
I hope ProtonMail will make their core gorgeous, and pour their resources and time into them, before moving on. I hope they avoid the customer sirens requesting they do "everything" in the realm of security. People flock to companies that do a few things truly great, not to ones that do a lot of things mediocre.
If you agree, I found a nice feature request to "focus on your core", where your votes would be great. Also, feel free to repost this anywhere people are getting carried away requesting features, or send it to management if anyone knows how. We can help this great company focus on being great instead of getting carried away.
