Needs a desktop app. Please have support for us Linux users too!

I don't want to access my vault with logins through the browser. Desktop app (Linux) should be a thing before going to release the product to the public.

Would use a dedicated Linux desktop app.

Windows & Linux app, with user-configurable hotkeys to auto-fill
- username,
- username [tab] password,
- password,
- TOTP
- username [tab] password [enter, pause] TOTPAnd it would ideally be able to work off-line indefinitely if traveling to an adversarial country.
Am I asking for too much? ;^)

If no security feature would differ window/browser app, why would you need a desktop app?

Let it have a separate password (from Proton mail / account).

This is so critical for me. I need a desktop app that is not tied into a tiny browser extension window. I love the android app, but I really REALLY need something on the desktop. Even a PWA would be better than just the extension.

I'd like a windows app too.

Agreed.
Or a Web login to view your vault items. -

100% agree with this. Desktop app with local/offline availability, please.

Create a browser-independent password manager that can be used locally and synchronized with proton drive.

Yes!!! I hate having to type in passwords when I'm signing in to a fresh install of a browser or app or remote desktop or verifying my Windows password. It would be great if having the desktop app installed meant that a browser extension wasn't necessary. I'm pretty sure I read that there is increased security risk when your password manager is an extension in your browser, like it can be attacked through the browser interface or something.

A good backup to browser app

Agreeing with this. The browser extension is handy for sure, but there are numerous non-browser uses for a password DB that are less well suited to going back to a browser, such as logins for network devices, gaming, and some general personal records keeping items. Offline storage is also an important part of this.

I wish Proton Pass' desktop app would come with the "Ctrl+Shift+Space" functionality that 1Password has.
