Multi-Page Login: Auto-Fill Password on Second Page After Username Entry
Many websites, like Google, split their login process into two pages: one for the username/email and another for the password. Currently, when using ProtonPass, we need to manually select our login item on both pages, which feels a bit redundant and inconvenient.
With 1Password, once you select your login on the username/email page, it automatically fills in the password on the subsequent page without any additional input.
This feature significantly enhances user experience by providing a smoother, quicker login process. It would be fantastic if ProtonPass could implement a similar streamlined multi-page login auto-fill functionality!

Very visible on websites like apple.com

The separation of username and password into separate steps/pages is a pain. Some sites will use async code to reveal the password box on the same page. This works with Proton Pass. But the navigation to another page seems to break it (sometimes) whereby Proton Pass thinks it's a password reset and auto-fills with a newly generated password.

This is driving me crazy too. Please improve the autofill. As a 1P user, I miss it.

and improve the detection of login and password fields of Proton Pass extensions and applications.
Autofill with extensions and applications often does not work. The use is often complicated.
Especially if you have several identifiers for the same site.
I did not have this problem with Bitwarden and selecting an identifier was simpler. -

Also in the same bucket, when you use an alias email on the first page and then generate a password on the next, you need to copy the password and create login manually as Proton Pass will not remember the password it generated. This is pain in the hoop and I had to reset my passwords many times because there's no way to retrieve it once it's generated and the next page loads...

I also noticed that autofill will simply not work on iOS for the username when this happens, I have to manually type it, it then works on the password (second screen.)

On android, if it cannot be scripted to fill the password automatically, a notification allowing the username/password/TOTP to be copied (similar to Dashlane) would be highly beneficial.

Bonjour,

Indeed I want to switch from dashlane which prefills the username and password in the form fields and auto logins for me and am missing that feature in proton pass.

1Password has the ability to manage 2 page logins, where you put in your username, then a second page shows up for the password input. Proton Pass not only doesn't autofill the password section on the second page, it won't even suggest an already stored password, rather it keeps suggesting that I make a new password.
Proton Pass should have support for multi-page logins.
