Create Duplicate Entries in Proton Pass
With the addition of password / vault sharing I think it would be helpful to make a feature to easily create duplicate logins so we can put them into a vault for sharing. For example I have a vault for all my streaming sites and instead of sharing all of them, I can move a few of them to a shareable vault and still keep them in the same vault by just creating a duplicate

I love the new custom form/entry feature. However, since there is no clone/duplicate feature, it is a pain to always setup an empty/from-scratch entry and add a couple of always the same fields to the empty entry/form.
Cloning/duplicating an existing entry would help greatly.
I also support the specific use case of duplicating entries to other vaults for sharing while keeping the original entry in the personal vault. Maybe not for streaming services ;-) but I also have use cases for sharing by duplicating an entry and remove some fields from that entry (this will be moved to a shared vault). -

Duplicate Login item is available in iOS, not in MacOS, weird.

Dear ProtonPass Team,
Currently, ProtonPass does not allow users to clone saved entries. This makes it inconvenient when creating multiple logins with similar details, as users must manually copy and re-enter information.
Other password managers, like Bitwarden, offer a clone/duplicate feature that allows users to quickly create a copy of an existing entry and modify it as needed. Adding this functionality would improve efficiency and usability.
Please consider implementing this feature in a future update.

A very important feature that makes editing and managing entries easier and greatly improves user experience.
Very useful for creating similar entries that differ slightly. -

I've also tried to do this a couple of times, it would be helpful sometimes, multiple users sharing similar service, various flavors of network device logins (default, user edited, LAN, WAN, etc), using the same IP/host ... but ofcourse a duplicate would just be a duplicate when in process creating, but eventually different when created, finalized. Internally ofcourse with unique ID.

Thanks for considering!

I think this is already available on mobile, I don't know why it's not available on the web app or browser extension.

Allow the ability to duplicate an Item within Vaults, (Login, Identity, Credit Cards...). We would be able to keep some existing information from within the duplicated item and change the fields we want without having to enter all the information again.

Odd that entries can be cloned in the app but not desktop. This basic password manager feature is essential. Nearly all other ones have it.

THIS IS IMPORTANT
Pass does not allow users to SORT logins by the date their Password was GENERATED, but only by the date the entire login was Created.
Instead, members must Create a NEW login, so that when a SORT is done, one can see passwords "newest to oldest" OR "oldest to newest".
If a new password is inserted into an existing login, the Date of Creation does NOT change, and the SORT by date function becomes irrelevant.
So, either the devs could introduce that 'Date of Password Changed" as a SORT option
--OR--
Make it easy to CLONE a Login. That way:
1. A new password can be put into the Cloned login.
2. The old login can be deleted.
3. A sort by Date of Creation would reflect the age of the Password. -

I would also welcome a duplication function for logins, cards, notes and identities. That would make life really easy.

There looks like there is a 'clone' option in the IOS Proton Pass app, but there isn't feature parity for the browser extension. Please add to extension also.

I have several vaults I share with other people, including clients. For client vaults, I sometime give them the ability to edit the entries. I would like to also keep the same unadulterated records in my vaults. The ability to copy entries with a 'clone to vault' option added to the same dialog as 'move to vault' would be awesome. The ability to choose the same vault as the password currently resides may be useful to some as well. Thanks! Love the product as a business user; I am ditching Bitwarden after a decade or so.

+1 This would also allow us to make a prototype entries with specific sets of custom fields that could then be used as a templates for new entries.

This is a must have when managing many identities (especially like managing family members passwords).

It would be useful to have the option to clone an existing item. Sometimes you have to create similar items, so it would be quicker to clone an existing one.
