    Also ... same name/title/description.
This should also be standard process when importing, offering to either skip, replace or update duplicates

Seems like this wasn't suggested before ... we should eventually be able to filter items by metadata in the GUI, which would allow for more management and deconfliction options when dealing with duplicates, mistakes

    This feature requires it: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/953584-proton-pass/suggestions/49324445-additional-item-export-import-metadata-for-identif

Oh yes, I had to close the dialog, close the Firefox extension and wait 15 minutes for it to generate a new random prefix, because the random word was unsuitable/uncomfortable for the place I was trying to create a login.

This would be very useful when we have to send screenshots of various receipts to country import customs which are many times just html emails and not constructed in a convenient A4 paper format. I don't have to awkwardly resize and try to manually stitch screenshots together, I could just export in PDF with basic options on paper format, scaling, rotation, position, offsets, margins, etc. !!! Would be really good and very speedy.

The Print->Print to PDF isn't perfect as it has some side-effects and doesn't always produce a good looking document, plus some elements are duplicated on each page and there's no way to disable this behavior in the browsers built in print dialog.

Sometimes I would just like a continious screenshot image, without it being split to kind of formal standard paper dimension, eg. like Firefox can screenshot a whole website in one huge image.

These and similar Mail-Drive attachement integration features should really be thought out well and I hope they're taking their time. It could create more, you don't want the attachements workflow to interfere with the good practices and conveniences and use cases of Drive, other users who don't rely on attchements so much should still have their Drive focused features taken care of.

There's technical questions how exactly this integration would behave, in many ways because it's probably about a wider set of functions in what would be a whole suite of them in this integration package. For one, there should be clear labeling and GUI indications as to what's a normal attachement and what's "duplicated" in Drive, etc. Sufficient amount of customizability of behavior whatever gets implemented. Sorting and folder structure is very important and if you have to go into Drive to fix and move things around then it's not much of a time saver and convenience. Then there's per-recipient address customizability, perhaps down to sender even, so there's a lot to consider in this conglomerate of integration features, I can't even freely recall everything.

Perhaps Proton can take note of methods of filesystem hardlinks where you have one single data section on disk and multiple equivalent references that function as a file and if either exists, the data will exist, so not just soft shortcuts/links.

It could be interesting to automatically "save" display attachements as files in a special folder in Proton Drive, and it shouldn't take up extra cloud space, and it wouldn't be just a link, in case of hardlink mode if you delete either the email with the attachement or the file in protondrive, the other one should remain, unless you either change options to not do hardlinking (just soft) or you choose to permanently delete both/all references.

It's also a question if deleting attachements is a thing, isn't that normally not possible without modifying email authenticity/originality / hashes? Normally you'd either delete the whole email message or nothing.

Only after some good use will it become more visible as to what kind of behavior is preferred, what's missing, what could be different. I wouldn't like a half-solution for the sake of speedy support.

Yeah, I'm experiencing GUI lag in the proton windows app, seems like it's offloading elements and everytime I maximize it's slowly loading in the GUI.

It might be a side effect or compat with my particular system, I'm planing to reinstall Win10/11 later with fresh drivers and GPU and we'll see then.

Proton Pass Security in it's Global Settings could have some general and session overviews regarding all of the Pass instances and apps, such as the browser extensions.

Now, there is separation in each Pass app-specific settings by design as confirmed by Proton Staff to be intentional, sure, but we need one place, one app (webapp or the desktop windows app?) that's considered the main or primary one that should have some global overview, security and session management of all the Proton Pass instances to get a sense how many extensions and sessions are active (or used in past)

It can get crowded and perhaps confusing when you're a power user with multiple web browsers and even versions of the same, portable editions, on many different PCs, windows, linux, android, multiple smartphones, tablets, can be very useful to get some better security overview, perhaps logs, but also being able to revoke sessions.

What if I lose my phone or a device, I'd just revoke session, without having to at worst change the password for the whole proton account.

Some session and login management is already in the webapp for the general protonmail, but it's still more tied to the main and mail accounts without good indication/separation, because mail was the first and main product so this is understandable.

It seems like Proton Pass will just use the username instead of the email no matter what, and you can't disable or change preference once it's populated, the only way is to basically delete it and add it to the notes or hidden text. My usecase would be to just have the username there just in case if it's needed and be able to choose which to prefer/prioritize. Sometimes some services will base accounts, security and support on the username (steam, ubisoft) more than they would on the email address, but they still require email (or both) for login.

There is a problem right here in uservoice, the firefox Pass extension detects the field as a username, but the website requires an email address.

Maybe I'm missing something but the only way to get around this is the manual approach of going inside the PASS extension or webapp, navigating to the specific Login entry, copying the appropriate field value there, and manually pasting it into the website's textbox.

It may be an extension bug, a misdetection or rather a misconfiguration of the website, in that case it may be nothing else Proton could do other than to appeal to webmasters to try to respect/standardize authentication fields for password manager compatability.

Additionally, in each of the login entry, there could be an option to select priority over which gets automatically used when filling or auto-filling, for example roughly "Prefer Username When Auto Filling" or "Override / Swap Email / Username values for misconfigured fields" or something.

    Thanks

(Side note: I've also noticed that while password fields do get filled properly, the proton icon isn't being displayed in most cases, I think there was a change, I've seen it more regularly, now I see it rarely.)
