Option to chose the Date/Time format
let users chose Date/Time format. The US one is very confusing.
ISO/euro date format, no more "yesterday" or "Monday", and 24-hour time. I live in U.S. , paying customer.

It's hard for me always translating "Thusday" with the date the Email was sent. Not barrier-free at all!

Seconding Jay's no more "yesterday" or "Monday" request.
Also, let users choose from 'YYYY-MM-DD', 'DD-MM-YYYY', or 'MM-DD-YYYY' etc.

It's so annoying and not helpful. There is a plenty of space to show full date.
Should be super easy to fix that -

Please show full date format for the messages. Using only day of the week is useless and annoying - especially when I need to go through different folder and messages, showing only day of the week doesn't trigger actual date in your head - i don't see reason why full date is hidden (there is a plenty of space to display it).
Please fix it - it should be easy.
thanks

I am astonished that this has not been fixed yet - I already deleted one Proton Mail account that I opened a few years ago because this makes it virtually useless, and very irritating, and now I have opened a new account to see what had changed I will delete it too soon. Pity, because I could have become a paying user!

I prefer the ISO format (YYYY-MM-DD) because it is in alphabetical order.
I would also replace "Yesterday" and the like with the actual date.
I would also add the time, without the need to hover over the date to see it.
Therefore my ideal format would be:
YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM -

Yes! +3 +all votes.
First thing I went to check after nearly getting caught out completing an important form. This is dangerous not having date settings with regional formatting. -

In the Beta 33 version of Protonmail 4.0.0 (which I've seemingly been forced into using), the dates on emails are now in the American format of month - day - year. 99% of the rest of the world uses day - month - year. It is extremely hard on the eye to see the US format on all my emails. Please give us the option to use DD-MM-YY.

Can't find amongst all the options in Settings the basic function to change the format dates are being displayed?
If the option is there please make it more accessible. If not available please provide this feature.
