Additional vault item types
Since I'm honestly too lazy to create multiple ideas I'll just post them as one, sonce they all are just different types or options of item types which should definitely be usable in proton pass, apart from log-ins, notes and the three other options:
1. Item types:
• Bank account
○ Bank name
○ IBAN
○ BIC
○ PIN
• Passkeys
• Identity incl.
○ Name
○ Surname
○ Middle name
○ Initial
○ Short name
○ Instagram name
○ Gender
○ Title
○ Birth date
○ Birth place
○ State
○ Company
○ Phone
○ Mobile phone
○ Address
○ Job title
• E-Mail addresses incl. application passwords
• Companies
• Wifi/Router data
• ID Card
• File upload (e.g. for tax certificates)
• Tax Number
• Tax ID
• Driver licence
2. Options for every Login item:
• Groups (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
• Tags (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
• Subdomain on/off switch (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
• Multiple log ins (Usernames and E-Mail) (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
3. Options under every item type:
• Custom fields with individually pickable custom names (Example: Field name: testfield, Value: test)
○ Text
○ URL
○ Date
○ Address
○ One Time Password
○ 2FA Backup
○ PIN
○ Application Password
Custom sections to divide the custom fields

The Login type have the option to add a named field with hidden entry. The credit card does not offer this so I have to enter in "plain text" things like Pass Phrase or Security Question. Plenty of my cards offer these items. Or maybe I want to track the credit limit on each card in Pass, but not risk someone clancing an eye?

Allow for sorting by passkey etc..

The card seems generic enough for most credit/debit cards, but needs custom fields, like the logins have.
I need to add Name, Address, additional pin codes, sources, process numbers, unlock key, unlock digital address key, document number.
So, by adding the "Add more" option like we have in logins will give this flexibility.
Thank you.

Any updates on this suggestion?

As other password manager do, ProtonPass should intercept and store the iformation when a login in a site is done by using Google login or other external logins (Apple, etc...)

I imported my Bitwarden vault and I can see the bank accounts (IBAN) are there, but when I click on it to show me the full entry for the bankaccount no, only the numbers are shown (and not the .ie NL and INGB parts). Would be nice if it supports IBAN, BIC, etc.

This is actually preventing me to do the migration as well.

I want to autofill, say my proton password as well as mailbox password 1-by-1, now the id and the main password wll be autofiled, however in order to get the mailbox password, I will have to open the app manually and copy and paste the password. Similar deal is with other apps where I have more than one "hidden info" section which I would love to be given alternative in filling.

It would be useful to securely store additional types of credentials, such as: API keys, login tokens, SSH keys, and database logins. Additionally, their relevant metadata like issued date, expiration date, url, etc.

Problem: Correct input is not always detected by Proton Pass.
Problem: Some website require more than a user/pass (custom fields).
Problem: Proton Pass identifies incorrect fields for autofill (happens a lot with search inputs)
Examples:
1. There is a custom field, like AWS console login for account ID, in which Proton pass uses to autofill my username. This is incorrect. I have to manually copy/paste id/user/pass here.
2. Developers break built-in semantics/accessibility, and Proton Pass does not recognize that it should autofill a username/passNote: I haven't necessarily prescribed any specific implementation details. The above user stories should be generally sufficient.

The general restriction to login, credit card, or generic text block also keeps me from moving to Proton - I don't want a separate password manager and everything else manager. What I really like about mSecure is that it comes with a lot of reusable templates and I can add a variety of fields if I need them.

in addition to have those categories, they should also be respected when importing from other password managers, like 1password.

To enhance the functionality of the "notes" feature and provide users with more flexibility, we can implement a solution that introduces custom fields for each note in addition to the existing single text field. This way, users can tailor their notes to specific types of information, such as creating a record for their vehicles with fields for license plate, VIN, and other relevant data.

I would like to be able to add my bank accounts such as checking or savings to Proton Pass and not just cards.

Often one needs to generate something other than a password (say, for a security question).
Proposal: modify the "add more" list of options to allow for "custom password field". This field would allow the user to regenerate a random password right in the login record. The field would have to be nameable, just like the custom text field.

Provide the ability for Proton Pass to recognize and autofill additional fields (beyond just username and password). I have accounts that require at least three entries on the login screen (e.g., company ID, username, password). Currently, Proton Pass fills the company ID with my username and leaves the username blank, so I have to cut/paste the username to the correct field and copy/paste the company ID to that field. There is already a Company ID field present in my account info (imported from 1Password, which handled this flawlessly), but Proton Pass doesn't recognize or use that information.

Coming from 1Password as well, this feature made SSO so much easier, would love to see this in Proton Pass.

I agree that more templates/item types are critical and would be a major benefit to all users! I’ve been using mSecure since 2015 and they currently have 27 different items to choose from… Bank Accts, Membership, Software License, Insurance Info, Prescriptions, Reward Programs, Insurance Info …just to name a few

I just migrated from 1password to Proton Pass, and I've now noticed that, apparently, none of my software liceses were migrated. Even if we don't end up with a software license category, I think at least migration should convert software liceses from other tools to notes.
