Request for Login Method Retention: Google and Apple Account Authentication in Proton Pass
Dear Proton Pass Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I recently transitioned from using 1Password to Proton Pass and have been exploring its features. While I appreciate the functionality thus far, I've encountered a minor inconvenience regarding the display of login methods.
In 1Password, the application memorizes not only the email associated with a login but also the chosen method, be it Google or Apple account. However, upon migrating my data to Proton Pass, I've noticed that logins authenticated through Google or Apple accounts appear as blank entries, only showing a link.
This missing feature impacts the ease of access and organization within the password manager. The visibility of the login method is as crucial as the email associated with it, as it simplifies and streamlines the login process.
I kindly request the addition of this feature to Proton Pass. Displaying the login method alongside the associated email would significantly enhance the usability and completeness of the password manager. It's an essential aspect of managing login credentials and would greatly benefit users like myself who rely on different authentication methods across various platforms.
Thank you for considering this enhancement request. I look forward to future updates and improvements to an already impressive product.
Best regards,
-

When I register a new login, using a Google or Microsoft account, Proton Pass does not give me an option to save using this option, either on the desktop or on the smartphone.
