Proton Mail Bridge and support of portable e-mail client
Most of installed software are locally installed. In case of portable apps (like Thunderbird) it is possible to "synchronize" all binaries and data among many computers. The point with Mail Bridge is that it generates a connection passphrase per host, hindering to use portable apps without reconfiguring the bridged mail account.
This behavior (of unique passphrase per host) is OK and desirable for local installed Apps. For portable apps it should be possible to also copy the Mail Bridge passphrase from one host to another and therefore configure Mail Bridge once (at installation time) without modifying the configuation of Thunderbird when started on an other host.
My 2c worth :-)
Cheers PHil.
