Require Extra Password for selected items only
Also see: Require master password for selected vault items
https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/953584-proton-pass-authenticator/suggestions/47581775-require-master-password-for-selected-vault-itemsAs a Visionary user, my Proton account is protected by many assets. I set a very strong password to protect my Proton account, and I cannot remember it (that is why I need a password manager). It would be a nightmare if I had to enter my main password to access an item. Extra Password for Selected Items feature would allow me to use a simpler password to add more protection for the item.

Previous password history on Proton Pass free plan
Proton Pass' free tier should include minimal password change history.
With this change, Proton Pass free would retain the previous password for a site - only one password, not full history. This would also incorporate minimal history for generated passwords (ex. last 1-2) to avoid situations where users generate/change passwords but they are not properly updated in Proton Pass.
Well aware that there needs to be a distinction between free and Pass Plus to encourage paid adoption. However, eliminating all history in the free tier causes frustration which impacts broader adoption.

Bug: On iPhone, Proton Pass never locks and cannot be closed.
1. Set unlock to PIN unlock, and timeout immediately. 2. Close app. 3. Enter invalid PIN 3 times. 4. Login with Proton Account Password and 2FA and optionally Extra pwd. 5. After this Proton Pass on iPhone stays logged in and has no login required even after timeout, and closing the app does not stop it... you can start it again and no login of any kind is required.3 votes -
Proton Pass: Add secret mimetypes when copying passwords [Browser Extension]
On linux (and probably other platforms too), it would be important to mark copied passwords as secrets, so they're properly handled by e.g. clipboard managers and passwords are not exposed by being visibly displayed, stored in unsafe places or included in logs of various sorts.
The way to do so on linux is adding an appropriate mime type. See keepassxc's discussion on this: https://github.com/keepassxreboot/keepassxc/issues/12696
The way keepassxc ended up doing this, is adding the somewhat established "x-kde-passwordManagerHint" mime type, but other mimetypes might be more general, e.g. "text/x-secret" – it wouldn't hurt to include multiple for broader compatibility. This is…

Feedback on Proton Authenticator UI Design
Hello Proton Team,
I’ve been a long-time Proton user — for over 5 years now, including my previous accounts — and I’ve always recommended Proton services to friends because of your trusted security and the clean, Apple-like design.
However, after installing and logging into Proton Authenticator, I was surprised by how different and less refined the UI felt compared to other Proton apps. The large header text and the overall layout make the interface look inconsistent with the elegant design language I’ve come to expect from Proton.
Please consider updating Proton Authenticator’s UI to match the design quality and visual…6 votes -
Customization to the expiration date for the credit cards
Is it possible to add more customization to the expiration date for the credit cards? For example to be able to type in the whole year or 026? Sometimes credit card autofill does not work because of this.

Make the CLI available in the free plan
It would make sense to offer the CLI to all Proton Pass users, including those on the free plan. This would allow users to test all the product's features without committing to a paid subscription. Perhaps a low rate limit (x requests/hour) could be introduced for free users instead, but the functionality itself should be available. All your competitors offer the CLI as part of their free plans.

Spell Checker for Secure Notes on Windows
We need autocorrect for Secure Notes on Windows Desktop. The dramatic red squiggle of shame appears under a misspelled word… and then just sits there. Mocking me. Offering no help. No suggestions. No mercy.
I almost had to consult an ancient artifact known only as the Dictionary - a massive, dust-covered relic whispered about in legends. I swear I inhaled a century of library air just thinking about it.
Please. Save us from the dark ages. Add autocorrect.

Duress PIN
We often have proton pass extensions and installs in places where Org or School admins may be able to log in and access. While having a PIN set to prevent logins is nice I would like to suggest a Duress PIN. This feature would allow you to set a pin that would immediately log out your extension/app/install from your Proton account and notify you of an attempted unauthorized login. You currently have a 3 fails = logout but this would allow you to know if someone was actively attempting to break into your passwords using more than just guessing.

More options for "Auto-lock after" and allow "Auto-lock after LAST USED"
1) More timing options:
Today the "Auto-lock after" has just a few options, I'd like to see a couple more other than
- 1min
- 2min
- 5min
- 10min
- 1hrMaybe add a couple more and allow a bigger upper limit:
- 30 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes. I've seen some pass managers to allow up to 4 hours.
Or, just set an bigger upper limit and let the user give their own number between 1min and X hours (new upper limit)
2) Add option to "Auto-lock after LAST USED"
Example (using 1hr to Auto-lock):- Unlocked at 10am (set…

Add a sort by most used token option in Authenticator
Currently, at least in iOS app, it is possible to sort token alphabetically or by cration/update date.
I have token that use frequently and other very rarely. For the most used token it's annoying to have to scroll or search them every time.
It would be nice to be able to sort them by usage frequency. This could be based on the times a token is copied, or the number of times they appear in a search result.4 votes -
Proton Pass needs to be able to distunguish between host names on the same domain
Other password managers can distinguish between multiple host names on the same domain. Proton Pass cannot. This is a glaring issue and the one reason I am unable to switch completely. I requested this feature a year ago or so and was told it's coming, but here we are an it's not here. Please add this feature!

pass-cli navigation mode
with the launch of the cli i'd love to see a navigation mode where one can run "pass-cli nav" and have it display a folder structure of vaults, then items, then fields that can be edited by using the right arrow key or e key. this would majorly enhance usability and hotkeys can be used for things like search. for a reference, if this ui worked similar to the ncdu command that would be ideal.
this would make cli an effective alternative to the full ui in terminals which would be awesome

"basic auth autofill"
The feature "Basic Auth autofillAutofill HTTP basic auth dialogs with saved credentials." is a bit too extreme. It really tries to already log in. That goes too far. If I have multiple logins per URL, this feature will try many times the wrong password and ban my IP.
It should just work like on Chrome, where the fields of basic auth are prefilled and i can still check what it did and then press enter.
It is also spooky to never really know if a site had the basic auth popup or not, as it is automatic. I don't like…2 votes -
pass-cli
Hello I just downloaded pass-cli on the beta channel using the curl command provided at https://protonpass.github.io/pass-cli/get-started/installation/
To be honest I don't have any particular NEED for accessing the cli tool, but figured I would install it because who knows, maybe i'd find some use for it.Instantly I was met with an issue that frankly I find unacceptable from a company the size of proton... You release a brand new cli tool, and don't include a manpage... I get that the documentation is available online, and pass-cli help/ --help provide a tiny bit of assistance, but come on. I feel…
