   It would be nice ProtonMail Android app is fully independant of Google Play Services.
   Push notifications for the ProtonMail Android app requires Google Play Services to be installed on the devices. Since custom ROMs like Lineage OS generally don't have Google Services included, push notifications won't work with such OS-es.
