Someone commented that Proton should not expand into new areas, no offense but while sucessful expansion always needs carefull planning to not expand into new areas would kill many businesses, especially when it comes to the tech industry, where remaining stagnant is equivalent to moving backwards, rapidly. We saw that sad demise with BlackBerry, of which I was greatly affected.
I have used Proton and been a beta user from early on, as I'm sure others here have, I'm a recovering crackberry addict and when BB stopped providing secure services for BB users I was very grateful that Proton was there.
Proton has been amazing in the secure services provided, and they have moved way past where they started in whats offered and we need them to continue to expand, one simple feature I have been requesting for some time is an email address book that also doubles as our phone contacts, much like gmail, but better, so I can rely less on google.
Proton is made up of innovative wizards and I believe they could develop the best solution to the problem of secure messaging that would be most universal for all, and in doing so garner many more members in the Proton consumer family. I don't want a monopoly, but I am loyal to the products and services I use and I do want to see Proton flourish all the more. -David
