Create calendar event from *any* email. (Like Google's "Create event" from an email.)
I organize my life through digital calendars. Many emails trigger the need for an event:
- most emails from companies will be properly formatted to include event information in their headers and email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Evolution) will recognize that and link the message to the associated calendar app (by rendering Add/RSVP buttons and so on)
- many other emails, exchanged with friends and colleagues in a more informal way, will also contain information of "something" that has to be done "some time", "somewhere".
The feature I'm requesting would work for *any* kind of email/event pair: a simple "create event" button the would call for calendar with a "new event" widget open with the email content prefilled in the "notes" (or, instead, linking to the email directly).
