Add ability to run newly created filters against existing mail
Can you please make it so we can run newly created filters against existing mail? Ideally based off the same criteria we can search on, applied retroactively.
When creating a filter, you have a checkbox "Apply filter to existing emails".

necrobump.
Filters search through your email and apply action(s) and can be applied in bulk. My workaround for this is to search all of my mail for whatever I want to filter (e.g. from:@domain.org or to:me+keyword@protonmail.com) and apply the desired action to the results (e.g. apply label, archive, and mark read).
If you don't see the emails you are expecting in the search results, tweak the query.
I'd like to see this feature implemented as well; I've become spoiled by the convenience of GMail.

It will be great if it can apply new/updated filter rules to current emails instead of update them manually.

This is kind of a no-brainer to me. I'm not sure why this wasn't rolled out.

Indeed, being able to run the current filter against existing emails would also assure us the filter we created is correct.
