Open the next email automatically after deleting or moving the first one
When I delete a message I want to go directly to the next email, instead of going to the inbox and then click the next email.
This feature is a simple one, but when you have to read a lot of emails it saves a lot of time.
It is available both in Gmail and Yahoo.
Thank you for your attention.
Work on this feature has started, beginning with iOS availability.

Oh I need more votes. Shortcuts are for saving time, but you have to consider the workflow rather than just individual shortcuts.
The Delete-Read Next-Delete process currently it seems to be T>G I>Right Arrow>Enter>T.
When it could just be T>T! -

For the the one complaining about people moaning.
Secuirty do not need to work aside from produtivity.
It could be as simple as a special shortcurt for that.
It is even worst because after clicking T to thrash the message the keyboard cursor lost focus in message list. So you need to click TB then click enter to get the message open.
So you need to click 3 keys in sequence to do the most common task every user to in their interface.
It is poorest UX design I ever meet.
And no statement from company in years make it even worst.
Security excuses are not good enough to justify a poor job since there is alternatives. -

It is the most unrespectfull thing I ever see in a product.
Such a simple an obvious thing, asked for years by the users and not implemented.
If it is not addressed soon, I will need to leave the service. -

Also customize the behavior so that you can go to next newer, or next older.

In all other email applications I've used, when you select an email then delete it, the next email is highlighted/selected. Proton mail is very frustrating because it never automatically selects the next email, you have to click on it. This means when you need to review and delete multiple emails, you have to manually select each time, which really slows things down.

I would like to have ProtonMail auto-load the next email in my inbox after archive or deleting an email.

instead of having an additional click to read the next email, automatically go to it.

Gmail has this really neat feature called auto-advance, which automatically puts you in the next mail in your inbox when you archive/delete an email.
In Gmail this setting looks like this:
After archiving, deleting, muting, etc. a conversation:
[] Go to the next (newer) conversation
[X] Go to the previous (older) conversation
[] Go back to the thread listThis feature is a real productivity booster, which I would love to see implemented in Protonmail as well. Should not be too hard to implement either.

[ ] Go back to the threadlistand probably my most-used hot key ("e")

This feature has been suggested by others; I'm re-opening it. I cannot believe that ProtonMail doesn't provide the ability to automatically go to the next or previous message after deleting or filing the current one. I'm disappointed that previous requests have been ignored for 3+ years. I won't be adopting ProtonMail as my primary e-mail address (and upgrading to a paid plan) until this feature is added. It's a deal-breaker not to have it.

When I am scrolling through emails and delete one, I would iike the option to move to the next one down, rather than back to the list.

If it is not already available (I've not been able to find such an option despite looking carefully through the settings and also the help files) I would very much like to have an optional setting automatically to switch to/open the immediately next or prior message in the currently viewed folder.

When I delete an email I would like to automatically move to the next email and have it show up in the preview pane on the webapp. Similar to the way gmail behaves.
