Bridge for IOS
Bridge for IOS would be fantastic
Bridge is not designed to be used on mobile and we have no plans to change that. We recommend using our native iOS app.

I assume there are technical limitations being able to run a local IMAP server on iOS. That said, the inability to use third-party clients for emails and calendars on the phone makes Proton only suitable for individuals without a job. It’s cool to decline this specific request but the issue it’s trying to resolve remains valid.

The IOS app is not good though. I don’t think any amount of improvements to it would change what I think of it. Allow us to use what mail platform we desire, we know it’s potentially less secure, but many of us do not care. Explain to us the challenges of implementing this, because we don’t see any.

I am also very disappointed by this annoucement. While the Proton mobile app is fine, if you use multiple accounts and want to have them in one place, it's very frustrating. Please reconsider this decision.

This decision is so disappointing. I have too many other accounts in iOS Mail and do not want to use separate apps just to check Proton mail. I was going to switch some email accounts to Proton but this is a dealbreaker. If you can’t develop Bridge for iOS you should at least allow IMAP so Proton users can make a choice for reduced security in exchange for the convenience of their own mail app choice.

Dear Proton-Team,
I read your reasons for denying this request, but I still have to bring it up again. The suggested function is very important for me because I also have a non-proton email account and I want to use the same email client for all my accounts on Mac and iPhone.Kind regards,

As the world turns mobile, this would be VERY helpful!
