Calendar API
I have python code that pulls upcoming assignments from a couple of websites and puts them into my current calendar. This current calendar is google but thanks to you all I am moving away from the ever seeing eye of google. It would be nice to have an API for adding events to my calendar programmatically.

Hi Heather, you can achieve this with ChatGPT. Use the prompt:
Create separate .ics files for the following events, each file should be download link:
Name, Date, Start, Duration
My event, 1.8.2025 12:00, 1 hour
etc.. y

I would love to be able to load events to Proton from an email or website!

I want to switch a web calendar to Proton, but it lacks API, so i can't do it. This is critical for transition to Proton. If something like API it's not available, Proton is not a good choice.

I am DESPERATE for an API that supports getting calendar info, even if just for availability into an Outlook or Gmail Calendar.
I do consulting work, and I work with different clients, some in the Corporate Enterprise environment. For scheduling across clients, I need a single calendar with my availability, that works with Calendly, and that I can use an automation platform to send new/modified/deleted events to a calendar in a Corporate Account (because I need the free/busy time to show up in the Outlook scheduler).
When I correspond with my Proton email, the other party will send calendar invites to that email, which goes into the Proton calendar. I end up getting double-booked or missing meetings with clients because of the inability to sync calendar availability. The best use of my time is NOT doing manual syncs across calendars, so I need to pay an assistant to keep this information up-to-date.

I haven't figured out a way to integrate with scheduling software that's ubiquitous in the business world, because of the lack of an API/integrations in Proton. But this is where I want all my events. This feature means a lot to me.

Please. Syncing multiple calendars with the manual import function is extremely painful. If there could be an API (maybe via the desktop bridge), I could automate it.

I would like to use a n8n AI agent to interact with my Proton Calendar

Some kind of read API for uses like integration with GNOME would be amazing. The only reason why I'm considering canceling my premium subscription is the inability to connect Proton to my integrated calendar.

would really like to see this, particularly so GNOME can integrate Proton into their online account manager: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-online-accounts/-/issues/205

Even just a read API for now - automating things like billing from calendar appointments is crucial and this needs an API to query e.g. the previous month events.

Yes please! Not just for adding events, for all the CRUD altogether.

At the very least, this should be released for business accounts. Being able to integrate different systems is critical these days. I love everything about Proton but after moving our business over, not being able to integrate our calendars into other systems is frustrating.

Any news on this? We need this integration. We can't fully switch yet, because of that missing feature.

I'm a Proton user from the crowdfunding time. But the lack of an API to Protoncalendar is the only reason I keep my events on Google calendar !!!

Only reason I don't currently recommend proton as a viable solution to the hundreds of businesses I work with.
