This is absolutely imperative to my decision of subscribing to Proton Mail as I created this email and aliases to test the waters and once I decided if it was good for me, I wanted to create it for my business but I used my business name as an alias! Now if I delete it, I loose it or I can't delete another for a year? This has completely turned me off from subscribing.

It's bizarre from a user's perspective to limit deletion of email aliases!

Whatever the backend reason for this is, it's bleeding into user space in a very unintuitive way.

Please consider just making this work like normal CRUD operations should. Users expect to create aliases and delete them again freely.

For me it's totally unclear how to disable / delete an alias. Why is there no list with aliases and a delete/disable whatever button?

Why not add a time code that lets us know when we can delete an alias?

When the system doesn't induce anything but prevents deletion.

I understand that you have to wait a year before deleting an alias.

But after a year, how do you know which aliases could be deleted?

We need to be able to delete an alias that is no longer in use. If this is not possible, we need to be able to transfer an alias to a new account.

I just added an address, and I realized that I should shorten it. There are 0 messages to that address. I would like to delete it or edit the address.

I have been requesting this for a very long time via ticket. I have some aliases that I want to delete but I hesitate to ask support as I can't risk them deleting the wrong alias (my aliases have similar names). Deleting the wrong alias would be catastrophic as I can't replace it and I would be locked out of a bunch of critical things. I really need a way to delete obsolete aliases by myself. Please forward this to the appropriate team, it is important.

I'd love this as well and a part of security is also to give us the choice to free up aliases again. I wouldn't mind to delete them, rather than disable them and allowing somebody else to use them again after a period of 3 months or so, after which I free up an alias slot to use. This would also make 15 aliases more palatable.
