Permanent url to email
Often I want to store a link to an email in my notes or todo app (because I need to reference the email at a later moment). The link in the URL bar is currently not suitable for this, because when I archive the email, the link does not work anymore.
In other words, I want a link that points to a specific email, no matter the state (inbox, archived, trash...) it is in.
Can you add this option to the web app and mobile app please?
Thank you for considering this feature.

This would be an important feature. I use an equivalent feature today in a competitor’s email client (Spark Mail), which creates a deeplink to a specific email thread even from the non-browser App, so its not a url. I then use this link in my personal notes system.
While I imagine such a feature *could* be used to gain access to an email through a backdoor, the other privacy protections in Proton Mail (including both login challenges and message encryption) would seem to be sufficient.

absolutely vital !
I have references to my email-messages in all notes and I am using the stand alone Proton Mail application. Quite frustrating
Please note also the request of the initial demander to have the address of the mail unchanged if moved to another location, especially archived
Protonmail is very good as a tool, this is one of the seldom showstopper !

Yes, this would be such a helpful feature! Sometimes I just want to quickly save a link to an email (like I do with apps like https://orionstar777.net/) without worrying if it’ll break later. Would love to see Proton Mail make this possible — it’d make life a little easier for sure.

This would indeed be a game changer! I am currently having to use AppleMail client (via bridge) in parallel in order to do so, which is better than nothing but also confusing switching the layout as Apple Mail program doesn't display labels the same way Protonmail's app does.

This is absolutely essential for anyone implementing inbox zero. I can't survive without it.
Note: the url actually does stay the same but changes from https://mail.proton.me/u/0/inbox/ABC to https://mail.proton.me/u/0/archive/ABC... however the link doesn't always work for me. This is a deal breaker, think I will have to switch back to gmail :(

When an email arrives in my inbox, I want to be able to copy the message URL to annotate it as a pending task and archive it so that it disappears from my inbox until I get to the task. Currently, this is not possible because if I archive it, the URL stops working because it depends on which folder the message is in.

This is extremely important for anyone wanting to archive emails (empty inbox) and be able to retrieve important messages to act upon from the task manager.
Usual workflow:
1) create a task with the URL to a specific email in the tasks' description
2) archive emailWhen the task gets done, click URL -> open email and then start work.

I am tracking job applications in Trello and try to use the browser's cryptic URL to link to a PM email message, but it seems to take me to the entire thread rather than a single email message. I came here to suggest this exact same feature.
