Option to hide account email in UI
When logged into Proton usually the my account email is shown in various places (for example, in Mail, it is in the upper-right hand corner of the app under the email label)
I would like an option to mask the account email. For example: johnwick@proton.me would be johxxxck@proton.me or johxxxxx@proton.me
This would ensure that spying eyes can't know my full email address for my account.
Alternatively, hiding the account email in the UI is also sufficient since all email identities come with a display name, and that display name could replace or be shown in replace of the email ID in the UI.

It should be an option that your account email is never displayed ANYWHERE, except the account settings and even there we could have a show/hide toggle like on password fields. Only the actual account owner should be able to know and see it.
A lot of us use aliases for all public interaction. No point in that if you're just going to eventually leak your account email yourself. The email itself is quite literally used only for your Proton account and maybe PW manager. We already have a username and display name. Username should differ from your email address and it should be what is used for logging in. Either can be shown everywhere your email is currently shown. Apps, sharing stuff from Drive and etc. Not even the accounts you are on the same Proton Duo or Family plan should be shown the email.
Right now it's a hassle if you want to keep your account email completely private and not leak it to prying eyes, friends and family or someone worse. It is such an easy issue to fix for Proton and a complete oversight, as it should have been accounted for from the start. The worst part is that it is going to become more and more of an issue as the Proton ecosystem grows, should be dealt with sooner rather than later.

In the Protonmail web UI, the user's full email address appears at the top-right of the page. This is bad for operational security. For instance, Gmail only shows the users initials. Request to hide user's email address at top-right of web UI to improve operational security, particularly when in public.

I’ve noticed that the login email for Proton Pass is always visible in the bottom-left corner of the app, with no option to hide it. Since this email addresse is very sensitive, having it openly displayed can be a privacy concern, especially in public.
Could you consider adding an option to hide or obscure this email?

I signed up for UserVoice specifically to request this very feature. It would be great to have the ability to toggle, mask, relocate, etc. Please and thanks. Y'all are great.

the whole point of having alias and multiple email address is defeated if somebody finds out your actual email address. So, masking is critical but also for convenience proton should unhide/ unmask email on clicking profile button in the menu where you have setting and sign out option.
I also like to go one step ahead and ask proton to give option to disable receiving emails from default email address or maybe allow only proton to email (for important stuff)

I dont want people accidently saw my Full email address.
Like in Proton mail, you can see clearly your email address on the right top corner.
its should just icon, we need ability to hide it or even hide it as a default.
and also in proton Pass.
When i press to proton pass to login, they should not show the full username, maybe just a few letter + 1 last letter.
