It should be an option that your account email is never displayed ANYWHERE, except the account settings and even there we could have a show/hide toggle like on password fields. Only the actual account owner should be able to know and see it.
A lot of us use aliases for all public interaction. No point in that if you're just going to eventually leak your account email yourself. The email itself is quite literally used only for your Proton account and maybe PW manager. We already have a username and display name. Username should differ from your email address and it should be what is used for logging in. Either can be shown everywhere your email is currently shown. Apps, sharing stuff from Drive and etc. Not even the accounts you are on the same Proton Duo or Family plan should be shown the email.
Right now it's a hassle if you want to keep your account email completely private and not leak it to prying eyes, friends and family or someone worse. It is such an easy issue to fix for Proton and a complete oversight, as it should have been accounted for from the start. The worst part is that it is going to become more and more of an issue as the Proton ecosystem grows, should be dealt with sooner rather than later.

Absolutely, only thing not allowing me to migrate to Proton from Bitwarden. And it shouldn't be just master password, you should be able to add your own password to specific entries if you wish.
