  1. Integrate Standard Notes Premium plan with Proton Unlimited

    Hopefully I'm not being greedy, but wouldn't it be possible to integrate the premium features of Standard Notes, which are absolutely brilliant, with Proton Unlimited? In my opinion, it feels appropriate now that SN is part of the Proton family, and, in fact, it already works that way in the case of SimpleLogin.

  2. Pay per GB

    Pay for EXACTLY the storage that you used in a month, instead of having to bump plans with *** GB increments - and serious price increases.

    Proton uses limits to extract maximum consumer surplus and force new plans on people, when all they want is just more storage. This is just like commercial companies, and leaves a bad taste.

    The better approach is to align consumer value and producer cost : pay for what you use, with a standard cost-plus premium. It's not how you make the most money, agreed - but it is how you build a loyal user…

    J'ai choisi un abonnement sur 2 ans et il m'arrive systématiquement d'oublier que celui-ci arrive à expiration. Résultat, je suis prélevée d'une somme conséquente sans avoir pu prendre mes dispositions ni organiser mes dépenses. Il serait hautement souhaitable que vous préveniez du prochain prélèvement suffisamment à l'avance, un mois par exemple. Je ne comprends pas que cela ne soit pas prévu depuis le départ.

    I have a suggestion that I believe would greatly benefit Proton's global user base: expanding the accepted currencies for payments beyond EUR, CHF, and USD. Proton has a growing international community, and allowing payments in additional local currencies would make it more convenient for users across the globe.

    Benefits of this expansion could include:

  6. Allow Upgrade from MailPlus to the Proton Unlimited from Google Play

    I subscribed to MailPlus and bought the 1 year subscription. Now I learn that there is a Proton Unlimited Plan, but since I bought the 1 year MailPlus, there is no option for me to Upgrade to 1 Year of Unlimited. I find the VPN to be very useful and want to use it on my PC and my Phone at the same time.

  7. Warn user about adding a card payment option if they have ProtonVPN on

    When user adds a card payment option, they are most likely redirected to their bank's web service to verify the action. Many banks have strict automated monitoring that may lock the card when an action seems suspicious.

    Using a VPN may trigger such lock on the bank's side for various reasons.

    For a real-life example, your VPN might be using a server located in different region than your real region and the verification process may require you to use another device (like your phone) which might not be using a VPN. On bank's side, this may look like someone is…

  8. Ability to modify billing dates

    I want to have the option of changing the billing dates for future renewals: e.g. changing a biannual renewal from the 17th of August to the 1st of August. I have contacted Proton about this and it is not currently available nor in development.

  9. There could be more cryptocurrency options

    Users can already pay by Bitcoin. However Bitcoin isn't the most private nor cheapest cryptocurrency to use. I suggest Proton paid plans could be paid with other cryptocurrencies such as Monero, Litecoin, Etherium and Bitcoin Cash.

    Proton and Zcash are an ideal pair. By accepting ZEC, you can offer anonymous payment options to your users. Zcash's shielded transactions ensure that all details on the blockchain remain hidden, thus providing utmost privacy.

    Your privacy-conscious user base will appreciate having the option of making anonymous payments with Zcash. It's a wonderful way to align your payment system with your privacy mission.

  14. SWITCHING OUT PAYMENT CARDS?

    So my bank replaced my card, as they regularly do, but I can find NO place at all within the proton website to CHANGE my card. It's asking me to make a payment for my renewal, which I can't do because the card on file is no longer a valid card. It's 2024 and I can't CHANGE the card on file?

  16. Account renewal issues

    I got an email from Proton to renew my account that included:

    "Just log in at mail.proton.me, then go to Settings → Dashboard → Payment methods → Add payment method."

    There is no "Payment Methods" entry in the menu.You have to guess which plan you currently have (I didn't remember), then go in and add a new credit card since it won't let you update the expiration date on the existing entry.

    Integrate Bitcoin Cash as payment option

    Protonmail has Bitcoin Core (BTC) as the only crypto payment option and it does not serve as a means of payment, since BTC transactions have expensive fees and often exceed the cost of the service offered by Protonmail, for example today the transaction was about $16 the fee and what I had to pay for the service of Proton was $23.83 dollars.
