Automatically create filter based on selected email
It would be very helpful if there was an option from within the mail app where users could select a particular email and create a filter for it from there, creating the folder, defining the rule, and then running on existing mail. When creating from an email, the filter option could automatically generate some rules, like from the sender of the email you are filtering.
When I am going through my inbox and I see a particular sender is sending more mail than I prefer or it is starting to add up, it would be nice to just do it from the inbox, and keep moving through the inbox this way, rather than having two tabs open or going back and forth. If this could be done on mobile also, it would help there as well as the ability to move back and forth is tedious.

Perhaps after the 5th time of moving the mail it creates a "smart filter" and opts to store those emails directly into the folder you moved it to.

Yes, that would be great! But I think the ideal solution would be to have a tab system with a tab for each alias. That way, you could easily switch between personal and work emails, for example.

Absolutely agree, having a quick way to create a filter directly from an email would streamline the whole process. It’s especially useful when you're in cleanup mode and want to deal with recurring senders on the spot. Jumping between tabs or menus slows everything down, so something like a “Create Filter from this Email” option would save a lot of time, especially on mobile where multitasking is more limited.

In gmail, when you drag an email from a certain sender to a folder, it automatically sends all future messages to that folder.
I have been a paid Proton Mail user for about 3 years now, and every single time I get a new email from a newsletter that I signed up for, I have to manually go in and add that sender to a custom filter so that it goes to my custom 'Newsletters' folder.
The problem is thatA) I put tons of different kinds of emails in that folder and add them all to that filter; and B) sometimes multiple senders (or many senders) will send newsletters from the same domain / organization, in which case I have to manually add all of them to that filter.
All in all, I typically add at least one sender per day to that filter, and several days each week I add more than one.
It would be awesome if I could just drag the email to that folder and a filter could be applied to that sender automatically—or maybe even a popup box giving me the option—to send all future emails from that sender to that folder.
I love Proton Mail and will never go back to google, but this feature would be awesome and would save users like me tons of time. Thanks in advance!

A filter is related to the incoming email and you decide about it at that moment ie, either filer the e-mail or domain.

It should be possible to define a filter/rule to an incoming e-mail without going to Settings > Filter like all mainstream e-mail apps.

Hi,
I do filter my email to keep my inbox clean and organised, but in order to do that I have to open Filters, then add everything manually everytime I get an email that doesn't follow any specified filter rules yet. I would love to do it direcly from the main inbox list, where all my emails show up. Just to click on a particular email and (instead or next to the button SPAM) choose "Filter". Then the filter list would pop up asking if there is a filter already that could be used and if not, then create one. Now, it takes more time than it should and I skip it a lot of times. It would enormously help out.
Thank you!
