Rather then to follow suit of Outlook or Google, which are not really nice, please, check the very known free and open source "Evolution" from the GNOME Project.

Evolution is a personal information management application that provides integrated mail, calendaring and address book functionality. It allows the user to create Task, Memos, Projects and manage their Calendars, Contacts and E-mails. It is just wonderful!!!

The software is available in most Linux distributions. So if you have never tried it, look in your repository or download it via the Flatpak.

Integrate "Standard Notes" in the Proton Universe.

Literally the only thing that is keeping me from switching from Google. Was testing Proton Email/Calendar features. Task list seems like a crucial part of any calendar app. Will be switching from Google once Task feature is added.

I would also like to add the kanban feature, which for me is much more useful than just to-do lists, but it's in the same conversation.

This is the only feature I'm waiting for to fully utilize Proton Calendar. I often use this feature in Google Calendar and it's incredibly convenient.

As soon as a TODO list feature (like in Google calendar) is integrated, I'm over to proton Calendar!

Simple requirement/solution to introduce priority, organisation & control (and an additional field for notes) - simple solution, only requires the addition of three/four fields and a sort.
- User update facility om an email with four fields - 'RAG' (red, amber green) flag, 'date', 'COMPLETED', 'Notes/Audit Trail' i.e. according to the priority of the required action and whether completed or not
- Provide a user triggered email sort: by the colour of the flag and in date order (date can be overwritten as necessary) or date/flag
- Provides a quick and dirty control/action facility with a consolidated list that can easily be displayed and controlled e.g. each day the user can easily 'call-up' the actions and address the priorities in the list.
- As appropriate, RAG and date (and notes) can be updated as priority increases/decreases as well as creating an audit trail
- User confirms 'COMPLETED'. The information can then be kept on the email for record/audit but the email would not appear in the priority list in the future.
- This could be positioned in a two to three stage strategic requirement i.e. the simple solution initially awaiting the target solution

A Notes feature that made use of proton docs inside the mail UI would be handy.

An unscheduled task/to do list would be useful. plus list view of whats in calendar would be great.

Having a list of task with deadlines that just show as deadlines in calendar would be useful for us multi taskers.

This would be very helpful for me moving away from Google. Shopping lists, Todo tasks and general notes/reminders would be very helpful

Ideally I would like to have the equivalent of ALL Google services (Photos, Keep, proper Drive (sheets!), Maps...) here at Proton but I know that's not possible and I understand that. "Keep" is certainly doable and maybe something like a "Noton" could be realized.

The only reason I am not moving away from Google Calendar is because Proton Calendar still doesn't have tasks. It seems like an easy feature to add.

like others have said, a stand alone app is probably the best but also being able to integrate with the calendar app would be good. Also to make the reminder app very user friendly and stand out above the rest please make it possible to auto recognize and schedule the reminder based on the date and time being written in the title field. Please model it after Samsung reminders as it is a very well made app.
