I just moved to Proton less than a week back. While I don't have n8n workflows that need to be dealt with, I had some other integration issues (outside n8n).

My solution to a similar problem was to save the files from email to a specific folder c:\users\myname\email-attachments\[tag]\

And then i added that path to proton drive.

i also take backups from my raspi regularly. and for that I use SyncBackFree (to sync raspi network folder to a folder inside Proton Drive).

a direct integration would definitely help, but the more I read, the more I understand that because of encryption proton doesn't have any api access to its mail, calendar or drive.

for calendar, i do the same. I created an intermediary program that creates a .ics for events created outside proton calendar, and then I subscribe to that .ics in proton calendar.

not elegant, but gets the work done. :)
