Compact view
After seeing the new layout for the Android app, it looks like a good improvement, but there is something that I think is missing: a compact view. I do not nneed to see the attachments, a clip is enough. I do not need so big labels.
If space is used for sender and subject alone, more mails fit into the screen.

Currently, when I click on a specific email within a conversation, the app shows that email plus all subsequent messages in the thread, forcing me to scroll through the entire chain to find attachments or details.
In contrast, Gmail displays only the selected email by default (with its attachments), and provides an option (e.g., a "..." button or arrow) to expand the context and view previous or next messages if needed. This makes it much easier to focus on the relevant content, especially in long threads.
Request:
Could you add an option to display only the selected email in a thread by default, with the ability to expand the conversation context on demand? This would significantly improve usability, particularly for users who frequently work with long email chains. -

I registered just to post this, but you already did. I wouldn't even mind if there were three options, a compact, a spacy, and one inbetween.

I wholeheartedly agree with this proposal. There is a lot of unused white-space that isn't required and doesn't make good use of the overall screen. The font size is also unnecessarily large.
