Font & Font size consistency across platforms
When Arial 14 font text is pasted into an email message which already has Arial 14 font (system default) the pasted text is clearly different and usually larger, like they were different fonts entirely.
To rectify this one has to change the paragraph to an entirely different font such as Helvetica and change the font size, and then change it back to Arial 14 again.
Why does what should be the same font look different? Can this be resolved?

This can happen because the same font name doesn’t always mean identical rendering across platforms. Different font files, versions, fallback fonts, or browser and operating system rendering can change the appearance and size. It may help to check whether both pieces are using the exact same Arial version.
