Feature Request: HTTP/SOCKS Proxy Support in ProtonMail Bridge
Dear ProtonMail Bridge Team,
I would like to submit a feature request regarding ProtonMail Bridge. In some network environments, internet access requires the use of an HTTP or SOCKS proxy in order to connect to external services. Currently, ProtonMail Bridge does not appear to support configuring a proxy, which means it cannot connect to the service in such environments. When I follow the normal startup process and try to sign in to my account, the application fails to connect due to the network restrictions. It would be very helpful if ProtonMail Bridge could support HTTP or SOCKS proxy configuration. Ideally, there could also be a Settings option available on the login screen so users can configure network settings such as a proxy before signing in. This issue is very easy to reproduce in networks that require a proxy, and proxy support would make ProtonMail Bridge much more usable in restricted network environments. I would very much like to use ProtonMail Bridge while connected through an HTTP or SOCKS proxy.
Best regards

Currently, the ProtonMail app does not provide an option to independently configure HTTP or SOCKS proxy settings. In some network environments, access to external services requires the use of a proxy. Without proxy support, the app cannot connect properly in these environments. I hope ProtonMail can add support for configuring HTTP and SOCKS proxies directly within the app, so users in restricted networks can use the service normally.
