How about the "export tool doesn't have a trojan in it?"
I've been trying to back up my emails using the ludicrous command line "export tool" and it's just tried to infect my computer with this fancy little fellow. I have all the screenshots. I waited up over 40 minutes in the hope that it might actually work this time and then BitDefender threw a complete wobbly. Any chance we can have a real way of downloading our emails, please?

try turning off windows defender while you do this, one windows defender is sh** and anti viruses block thing that are safe. this is a known issue caused by lack of developer keys. You can look and build the source your self if you do not trust it. https://github.com/ProtonMail/proton-mail-export
