When I was working, I used Outlook every day because I planned my time in one- or two-week increments. Now that I’m retired, I prefer a simpler, broader view. I’d love to see Proton Calendar offer a three-month view showing the previous, current, and next month together.

I built this layout in my own calendar app. A small triangle beneath a date indicates that it has one or more appointments. Clicking the date opens a popup showing that day’s events, while hovering over the triangle provides a quick preview without leaving the calendar.

Having the next month visible is especially helpful when I’m on the phone scheduling an appointment. I can quickly spot open days, and if a day already has an appointment, I can hover over the indicator to check the time and see what else I can fit in. This makes it easier to discuss available dates without switching views or opening each day individually.

The three-month layout also keeps recent activities and upcoming commitments in context, particularly when planning across the end of a month. Showing event details on demand keeps the calendar clean and easy to read while making those details readily accessible.
