Description for labels and folders
In Proton mail when creating a label or a folder it would be very useful to be able to add a description. For example, label 'C: Finance' but the description would be something like 'Loans, mortgage, life insurance, pension, investments, and so on'.
This will mean you label or folder name can be short and the description is only visible on the adding of the label or folder or by hovering over the label or folder name.3 votes -
Add BIMI Logo Fetching for Imported Emails
When emails are imported from external providers such as Gmail or other IMAP accounts into Proton Mail, the sender's avatar is often missing or replaced with a generic placeholder. It would be a great enhancement if Proton could automatically fetch and display BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) logos for imported emails whenever the original sender's domain publishes a valid BIMI record.
This would make imported conversations feel more native, improve visual consistency, and help users quickly recognize legitimate brands without relying solely on the sender name or email address

iOS: Remind users to open Proton Calendar regularly to restore notification reliability
On iOS, Proton Calendar is treated like any other third-party app by the operating system. When the app hasn't been opened for a period of time, iOS puts it into a background state that prevents it from sending notifications for scheduled calendar events. This causes users to miss important reminders without any indication that something is wrong.
Implement a "wake-up" reminder notification similar to what Trakt.tv does for their app. If Proton Calendar detects it hasn't been opened in a while, send a push notification prompting users to open the app to continue receiving calendar notifications reliably.

delete events within specific time periods
Others have suggested important features like deleting by clicking on DEL/CANC and by selecting previous events in a series. However, I still find it critical to be able to bulk delete many events from a whole day, or period, selecting ONE or ALL calendars at a time. For example, all the events within a specific calendar from last January, or last year. Sometimes, you need to keep the events for some time but, at this time, deleting them later takes AGES. Thanks a lot, you're great at Proton!

Create rules to auto-label incoming email
I receive lots of emails. It will significantly reduce workload if Proton Mail enables me to set up rules to automatically apply labels to incoming email. For example, I frequently receive invoices from email addresses like invoice@... It will save me alot of "browsing through emails" if I could set up a rule that will auto-label emails from those senders with my "invoice" label.

iOS 27 Siri AI Integration
Proton Mail/Drive/Calendar should support Siri AI integration with this fall's release of iOS and macOS 27. Having thoroughly researched Apple's new Foundation models and AI architecture, its clear that they are prioritizing use of on-device models for the vast majority of requests and only going to Private Cloud Compute (PCC) if needed (in which data is deleted right away after the request is fulfilled). You can independently verify Apple's PCC claims here https://security.apple.com/documentation/private-cloud-compute/verifiabletransparency.
Having tested these AI features myself, they make my life significantly easier with being able to find the things I need just by asking or typing…

Maintain Snooze through sub Folders
I love using filters to automatically drop messages into their proper folder. If something lands there, and I want to snooze it, right now I have to move the message to the inbox to snooze it, then once the snooze goes live again and the task is complete, I have to move it again to put it back in its original folder.
I'd love snooze to stay constant regardless of the location of the message. That way the existing orgranization can hold steady, while I wait till it's time for the next step.
Thanks :)

Calendar Booking page for teams
A booking page for teams checks the availability of several of our employees.
There should be two options:
a) All team members must be available at the scheduled time. The appointment is scheduled for all employees and the client. Example: There is a dedicated team that works with a client. The client would like to schedule a meeting when all of our colleagues are available.b) At least one team member (any member) must be available at the scheduled time. The system automatically selects an available employee and schedules an appointment for them and the customer. Example: A customer needs…

Conflict alerts
Calendar events may be tagged as "exclusive". The user can select in settings if new entries will default to exclusive or not.
Any time an exclusive event overlaps with another exclusive event, the user is given a warning about the conflict, so they can then decide how to resolve it.
If two exclusive events are booked close to each other and they both have addresses listed, an estimated travel time could be generated and a warning given if there isn't going to be enough time to travel from one location to the next.
This will be beneficial when importing events…

Proton Mail & @duck.com email integration.
I route emails to proton mail via @duck.com email. This strips out all trackers and simplifies the email address. However, when I wish to write a new email, I have to use the email format 'recipientatdomain.com_yourduck@duck.com' in the ' sending to' field. I would like to have an option to put this into my proton mail settings once, and have the option to select this method as preferred routing. This does not have to be specifically for duck.com.

Enforce Username Privacy via Primary Email Address Lockdown
As a Proton mail user,
I want all incoming mail sent to my primary Proton username (email address) to automatically bounce back to the sender as "undeliverable" (as if the account does not exists), unless the email originates from an official Proton mail domain,
So that I an keep my primary account username entirely hidden and free of clutter, forcing all external correspondence (i.e. everything except for official Proton correspondence) to go through my managed aliases or Proton Pass aliases*I understand I can have something similar by creating a custom Sieve with reject or discard, but it is not…

Sending E2EE emails to non-Proton users without the manual password/key hassle
I’ve been a very happy user and I’m incredibly grateful for what the Proton team has built. Proton is easily the best at privacy when both sides are on the platform, but recently I’ve been sending a lot of sensitive documents—IDs, bank docs, and contracts—to government officials. It’s made me realize that while Proton is great for privacy if both sides use it, it’s still a huge headache when your recipient isn’t a Proton user or a tech freak.
Right now, we have two options for non-Proton users, and both have major real-world friction. First, there’s PGP. Unless the recipient…

Pinned emails in Inbox Feature!
I see this feature request has periodically been posted all the way back to 2015. I am reposting as a brand new user migrating from Outlook. This was an Outlook feature I used every day, multiple times a day. I pin current bills and other important emails to the top of the Inbox so I do not overlook them or forget to check a folder or search for stars. By far, this would be one of the most useful and important upgrades there could be to Proton Mail. Happy to provide more details if needed. Thanks so much! PS- stars…

"Always BCC" on Proton for iPad
I don't see why even K-9 does this but Proton won't. Is it a privacy-related thing?
Full explanation follows, for all it matters.
New to Proton, I use it on several devices although my main is a desktop computer, from which I keep track of every single thing going on at my company. The desktop is obviously locked up and safe, but my mobile devices, being mobile, are with me most of the time. Should either get stolen, I wouldn't want the info on it to be way too important - which is why I don't use it as a…

Increasing Escape key navigation.
Improve keyboard navigation with the Escape key. Two areas:
(1) When I search for something within my mailbox, I want to hit the Esc key to go back to the inbox.
(2) Sometimes pressing Esc doesn't "Go back". Ie, it requires me to click within the main content window. A common case of this is when I will open a message, I'll press Esc once, and it will minimize the current email. But pressing Esc a second time WILL NOT go back to the Inbox. For me to go back to the inbox, I will have to click in the…

"Share" selected text
In most applications on MacOs I can select text, open the context menu and choose "Share...". This allows me to send the selected text to other applications. Usecases: Translate with your favourite app, send to the shortcuts application to trigger your own workflows, ...
Apparently this is not possible in Proton Mail for MacOs and for iOS, but it would be really helpful to implement custom actions on selected content.
