I'm a bit hard of hearing, as are many; the current default incoming mail sound is too soft and nondistinct. Even running Boom 3D, it's too soft to be noticed most of the time. Allowing the user to customize sounds would be ideal.

I think this feature would help a lot of people and shouldn’t be too complicated to implement because the base is already given by Apple. It just needs to be activated!

The default sound used on Macbooks is not sufficient. This doesn't seem like a big change, but hard to believe it isn't there now.

ProtonCalendsr specifically, this is critical. I switched to iOS from Android and I need to have a reliable and unique sound for my Calendar. This missing feature is forcing me to use Apple Calendar. As a long time paying user and Proton evangelist, this really stinks.
Email is a nice to have, just not as critical for me as Calendar.

I need the sound of the notifications so I won't miss a lot of important emails.

I keep missing my meetings! Please allow us to make the sound longer, more distinctive, and persistent (until I stop it would be best). I want to use Proton Calendar exclusively, but currently I still have to duplicate my meetings in Apple Alarms (Clock) so I receive a persistent, unmissable notification. In Proton Calendar, this setting could be available within the settings for each event created (like where notification timing is setup).

Surprised that since 2016 when this group was created Proton have not deemed it a Customer/User requirement to implement this functionality. I have subscribed to Proton for its secure/private nature however in this day and age when people have multiple apps on their smartphones / desktops this functionality would be what one considered to be basic and "matter of course"

100% the most important feature for getting adoption of Calendar. It's pretty much a required feature to make calendar my default.

Haven't seen any updates on this one. I think this is huge, Calendar notifications are pretty bad for a normal person who gets tons of notifications on their iphone that they ignore. A custom sound (which most major apps support) is critical to getting adoption of this calendar.

Yes, custom notification sounds on both mail and calendar would be great. I want to be able to distinguish notifications from other low importance things happening.

Note: I used a search engine to end up on this page first. I had not seen the message to becme a member of uservoice, so I was unaware that this is not a Proton site. I tried to sign in using my Proton email and password several times. I hope these people can be trusted.

Please add this ability. This is important on many levels. How do you expect a user to pay $100 a year and your client does not even have simple notification ability.

Proton! what are you doing??? This is a small thing perhaps to you who apparently only use Android devices, but it's a deal breaker for iOS users. I've been using Proton mail since it existed, and the paid version. I'm a very loyal customer and I believe in your mission and want to support you, but I'm still using Proton mail for just my personal emails. There is just no way I can switch my work emails to Proton with NO OPTION TO CHANGE THE NOTIFICATION SOUND. It a bit nuts that we're still asking for this at this point. It was, and still is, a deal breaker for adopting Proton for professional use. FOR THE LOVE OF PRIVACY, HEAR US ALREADY!!!!!

Yes, this would be a good feature. If proton had its own little notification sound like Signal do, that would be good too

Need to be able to set sent email sounds as well as notification sounds. Can't be hard.

What are you waiting to add this option, the fact you are waiting 8 years for now is that you really dont care about your customer. I love your service but why you dont add this option do you need me to program it ???? It's not suppose to be a big deal!!!
