The ability to search the contents of emails, not just the Subject
It is a deal killer for business use to not be able to search the contents of emails Vs just subject titles. Combine that with the TERRIBLE conversation thread that will not open ALL messages at the same time and PM may be doing great engineering but poor client business development.
The ProtonMail Bridge supports this by allowing ProtonMail to work with any Desktop email client so full text search can be performed locally without compromising the end-to-end encryption.

How would this work? We don't want Protonmail to have an unencrypted, indexable version of all of the emails. This would defeat the purpose.
Perhaps some client-side software that could read the unencrypted emails and provide search functionality?
I agree that this is a massive drawback for going to encrypted mail but I don't know what a good workaround is -

Even better, why not to write plugins for mal clients, so we can take advantage of our email client's search capabilities? I'd love to have my messages indexed by my desktop search feture (KDE on Linux here).
