Forwarding email from Proton Mail
It would be great if we had the option to forward email to other email providers. services.

Thanks to your feedback, you can now automatically forward emails sent to your Proton Mail account to any email address: https://proton.me/support/email-forwarding
Email forwarding is available for everyone with a paid Proton Mail plan.

I sure hope they combine the following identical or nearly-identical requests. Some of these specify "conditional forwarding" and some don't. At the moment, this suggestion plus the others is a total of *426*, not 198.

Another vote for an easy fwd tool in Protonmail. I'm surprised there isn't one, as there is in EVERY other email service in the known universe! (Free or not) To coin a phrase: "C'mon man!"

I want to do that as well. Note that the one comment preceding this one got it backwards. We want to forward all email FROM our Protonmail accounts, not TO.

Any updates on this issue?

That's already possible.

This should allow forwarding or redirecting.

Do you have any plans to provide email forwarding from a ProtonMail account? Either between ProtonMail accounts or different ones.

Agree - I set up an alias address to receive invoices from my vendors. I wanted to be able to have these filtered and automatically forwarded to my bookkeeper but was disappointed to find there was no way to do that in Proton mail, since filters does not have "Forward" as an allowed action.

Currently Protonmail is very difficult to move away from. It's impossible to:
* export existing emails (for Linux users);
* auto-forward any incoming emails to another email address;
* set an auto-reply about account abandonment (for free accounts);After being a Protonmail user for nearly 3 years I finally made a hard decision to move away from it as it still doesn't have features requested on sign-up by thousands of people. How ironical it is that it lacks features necessary for moving away as well?

This is a pretty neat functionality that I miss from Gmail - it's quite useful for professionals emails as well.

It would be a great feature to use auto forward.

I love Protonmail and wish our company could use it as well. However, we have one owner/user who absolutely refuses to use anything but gmail and so that kills it for us.
Everyone else uses web access to their e-mail would be fine with Protonmail. The Protonmail interface is also considerably better than the service that we are currently using.
I've thought about seeing if we use Protonmail's bridge and fetchmail to retrieve the e-mail and forward it on (I've never used fetchmail and am not entirely sure what all the capabilities are, but it looks to be fairly comprehensive).
Even if that would work, it would have to be on a schedule of maybe every 5 minutes or so in order that the one user wouldn't have to wait too long when waiting for documents sent by a customer while on the telephone with that customer.
If we could forward e-mail to gmail, it would be nobrainer for us to change to Protonmail for the company.

This answers the question I had when exploring ProtonMail as a new host for my domain.
This is blocking me from moving my domain.

This feature and lack of groups means it's impossible to use Protonmail for any business except maybe for just a solo startup. Personal domains yes, any other company use no. Please add it! I have wasted days looking at alternatives...

it is incredible that forwarding of email is not possible. That makes it practically useless but for a very narrow need.
