Please add indents/tabs for emails
Please add the ability to create indents or tabs in the body of the email

Agree with others-- this is a basic formatting functionality that is present in many (most?) other email platforms. Having this absent in an alpha-level product would be one thing, but it's an embarrassment that what's supposed to be a mature cutting-edge platform like Proton doesn't have this.

I can't believe it's 2024 and indenting is still not possible. I compose in MS Word or Google Docs and paste into ProtonMail, which works but is a pain (especially when working on my phone, but even on desktop).

This is such a common use feature when using a text editor like email that it's almost a shock that it's not included by default. Please, for the sake of my spacebar, please add this rudimental feature!

If gmail editor can provide an indent function when creating email, then ...

Respectfully, this is a critical failure. As a professional, I basically have to write many emails to clients on MS Word and copy and past them into Proton Email because this feature is missing. Indents can add quite a bit of clarity to complicated emails. Worse, once I copy and paste, I can't really edit in your program. It's like working with ASCII or DOS. I appreciate the protections Proton provides, but if it's too much trouble along with other key missing features (like inability to resize pictures) I may have to go back to Google eventually or try a competitor privacy product. Grateful for your consideration.

I would love to be able to use an "indent" option when composing email. This is obviously in addition to bullet and numbered lists. It's one of the few things I miss from my gmail days.

Unless I'm missing something, this still isn't available in the web client. In fact, I wasn't even able to copy/paste indented text in without losing the indentation … which seems to hint at an underlying technical reason, rather than a simple lack of a button or keyboard shortcut in the composer. I'm all for forgoing unnecessary formatting tools, most of which usually make email worse imo, but indentation is pretty basic for presenting anything even remotely complex.
I should add that I was able to insert a unicode tab (U+0009) and that plus overuse of the blockquote is the workaround I'm now using. Hopefully that helps if anyone else finds there way here. Doesn't cover all uses though, obviously.

Formatting for creating outlines and bullets is very limited. There needs to be the capability to indent in an outline and in bullets.

Even simple word processors allow one to use the tab to indent the beginning of a paragraph. So does my pop email account. This should be STANDARD.
Don't mention gmail. I hate gmail. I want folders not stupid labels.

I am desperate for indentation also. I have switched to protonmail from gmail for the security and encryption, but if indentation does not become available soon I will look for a different secure email service that does provide more formatting options. I would rather stay with protonmail and upgrade my account. It should not be that difficult to add indentation.

It seems to me that this is a far more important formatting feature than being able to align text to the right (which you do have incorporated).
I was somewhat surprised that indentation is not available; please consider making it available, as I use it in almost all of my writing.
I see someone else has requested it also.

Ability to increase/decrease indentation in multi-level bullet point list.
Currently only the new bullet point can be manually indented.
This would be similar to Gmail or many other word editor's "indent more/less" buttons.
