Add filter by unread mail to the mobile apps
The ability to show only unread messages in the iOS mobile app should be added.

Good to now have this function.

I was convinced this feature was part of a paid plan, so I set out to upgrade solely because I want to sort the app inbox by unread. Please consider adding this, even just in the paid plans I am sure you will get a lot of upgrades.

When opening the android mobile app (phone) is it possible to show the unread emails as bold?

C'mon, please add this feature. I've tried to create a workaround using filters but I'm not able to do this thing

That would be a welcomed feature, for sure.

Exactly, I was surprised that such an elementary feature is not available on either iOS or Android app.

Was very surprised when the android client didn't have this basic feature, was even more surprised when I saw it was requested nearly 4 years ago. This feature has been in every email client I've ever used, in browser or on PC or on android. This is the first time I've paid for email and the paid app is the only one that doesn't have it? That's pretty bad.

It’s great if you could add a functionality to just see the unread email in your inbox.
This is useful until I get to the point where I can delete things I don’t need, or file them in file folders.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add this feature! My husband hates Protonmail solely because the contrast is so poor between read and unread subject lines in the IOS inbox list that he can't tell which ones he's read.
This is an inexcusable oversight! -

YES! I need to see just my unread emails. Not all that are read need to be tagged or moved to a folder. They just need to remain unread temporarily, until I’m ready to delete them.
I see this suggestion is over 3 years old. If there’s been a change, please direct me to the setting, as I have yet to find one.

Absolutely... come on guys. You are doing fantastic work on Protonmail overall, and the iOS app works very smoothly. Thanks for this! But I cannot understand why a filter for unread messages STILL isn’t implemented. I’m begging you.

Please add this essential feature to the iOS app.
Can‘t understand why it has not been implemented yet -

Add the same ability you have in your web app to the mobile app to allow the viewing of only unread emails.

Really desperate for this feature on android... I can't recommend it to my work seriously as a replacement for Microsoft when we can't view unread mail.

I would also like to have this feature.

WOW...
We have now passed the 2.5 YEARS milestone for the continued disregard of what is not only a MAJOR functional issue, but also a relatively minor fix as far as implementation.
And more importantly, as has been noted, this is, for many of us, a paid service. I mean, do they even check responses to their “suggestion box”?
What really confuses me is that either everyone working there doesn’t use the iOS app, doesn’t use PM itself or must each have an assistant who handles their email, because the only alternative would be that every one is entirely on top of their inbox and never missed a single email...
Right? Because how else could no one working there not have at any time found themselves unable to find the email that’s causing the little red fucking 1 to stare back at them from next to their “inbox” button....
C’mon guys. Do better next time.
