Select all emails and perform bulk actions
It’s taking me 30 mins a day to delete 100-200 emails this is time consuming and damn right idiotic that the feature isn’t here already
To vote for 'select all' from search results, vote here: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483/suggestions/46566259
Hey everyone,
Cleaning up your inbox just got easier – you can now label, move, delete, or mark as read all emails in a folder (including your main Inbox) at once on the Proton Mail web app.
To get started, select all messages on a page. You'll see the option to select all messages in the location (e.g. Inbox) you're in. Then, simply apply actions in bulk, making it easier to manage your inbox.
Thank you for your feedback!

Empty Trash & Empty Spam - "Delete All" option visible on the ribbon of both folders, because you have no automatic deletion settings. Obscuring this feature has resulted in your customers losing thousands of work hours, first deleting Spam and then deleting Trash, at the default rate of only 50 junk messages at a time.

So it looks like there "is"* a way to do this in the UI. If you select a label and click the 3-dots in the top right of the screen, you can choose "Delete All" (make sure nothing is selected). This will give you a popup that says "Are you sure you want to Permantly Delete all emails under this label? But if you click "Ok" it just deletes...well I'm not sure how many it deletes but it's more than a page I think.
*depending on your definition of IS is...

I agree with others. If I go into my INBOX and filter on say....newegg. I should be able to select ALL 700 Newegg emails and delete all of them. Having to delete 50, then go to my trash and delete them out of there and keep repeating this process 50 at a time is tedious and silly.

The only way to delete bulk emails is to use the Bridge and utilise a 3rd party mail client llike Thunderbird to then delete there. The 50 emails a page limit is just utter madness, and seems like a crazy oversight by Protonmail, and why I stopped paying for premium and went back to free. A real shame.

Ok, just find the feature under the "three dot" menu on the upper right hand corner. Clicking on it reveals one single item named "Delete". Why hide this command like this? Nobody can find it easily. I actually did a search at proton help page and didn't find any answers. This feature should really be a button right next to the trash folder icon in the left hand vertical navigation column

This is quite a glaring missing feature that's so readily available with other, free, webmail services. If not a button to click to empty the trash folder, at least give us the ability to manually select all, and delete using the menu. But even that doesn't seem to be possible. So there seems to be no choice but leave these folders accumulating contents, or am I missing something real obvious?

This would be a great feature to add.
After you do a search and click the "v" (down arrow) next to the checkbox in the heading, the triple check says "select all", this should select all emails that were the result of the search

It's ridiculous that we even have to request this feature.

Selecting the entire contents of an inbox including all messages not currently displayed is an important feature for anyone trying to manage large amounts of email.
A lot of people end up like me: finding themselves frustrated because they have to ignore the amount of unread messages on all their folders but still find themselves distracted by the unread notification.
Competing email services have had this feature for many years before this suggestion was made in 2017.

How is this not implemented? It seems like a basic function for any email service.

for an organisation that values Privacy and Security - making it hard to remove email seems very poor (and dangerous practice)

I posted essentially the same request today, 8/6/21. Up vote this one since it already has votes.

Should be able to delete all results from any search screen. Seems easy enough to implement.
