Ability to select all or multiple from search results
It would be nice to be able to select multiple emails from the search results for processing, say moving to a folder.

I use protonmail to list podcasts I'm interested in when working in the field. My inbox is now reaching 7,000. It would be good to be able to select all emails that come, for example from Rumble, and then send them to a waste bin where the refuse has a life of, say, 30 days before it is deleted permanently. This must surely be in the interests of Protonmail's profitability because it is presently storing large number of emails that are no longer needed by users. Alternatively, this lack of efficiency is passed onto users in the form of higher fees.
Please fix.. This is URGENT!

yea i'd agree that doing this isn't very easy or intuitive.
that said, a workaround could be to use labels and filters to perform automated or bulk actions on the messages you want to modify.

good luck!

Seriously! This does not work if I select say emails from spam.com in my Inbox. I can choose "Select All" and it only selects the 50 visible emails. PLEASE! PLEASE! I'm accessing it on the web.

Admin says ability to select all is now available. Not on the Android phone app! About ready to drop Proton, as it lacks some features you find on other email apps and programs. Being able to select all with one click is a critical feature!!

I see this feature if I just select emails in my Inbox. However if I search for something, the option doesn't appear. I primarily need this bulk select on search results since I want to archive emails based on year to keep my inbox organized. So I'll search say all emails in 2023, and move them to an Archive_2023 folder. However, there are 65 pages of search results, I have to do the "move" operation 65 times.

Without this, the bulk "Select All" only on folders feels almost useless. It feels like a "clear this folder" button instead.

I'm migrating from Google and I'm very disappointed to see that this option doesn't exist. I have a huge amount of emails to delete, label and move and I can't understand why I have to go through 50 of them at a time.

This is critical for me. It's annoying that this is only available in the Web UI. We're in a mobile first world. The user experience should be the same throughout

I know this is keeping a lot of people from even considering ProtonMail. Especially since there is only 5GB for mail, means people need an easy way to download and delete their 5GB of mail periodically if they don't have enough money to shell out for a premium plan.

Having migrated from GMail, I'm now fighting the UI of Proton Mail to clear the inbox... I don't want to remove all messages, only those I specifically search for. GMail can do it; please do imitate them in this regard.

This function is critical after importing from another account: it's necessary to use the search function and then apply some action (e.g., tag with a label) to all the mails in the search results, not just the first page. This is a major inconvenience and a turn-off for a paying customer.

This is a critical function for me that is missing from Gmail. When cleaning out email, I will often search (for example: "Reddit") in order to select and delete all the emails from a certain sender. With Proton currently, I would need to go into each email in search individually to delete.

As far as I can see, selecting all messages (meaning *ALL*, not just the ones in the currently displayed page) is possible for folders and labels but not for search results.
I think having this possibility, both in the Web UI and in the desktop apps, is of paramount importance.
I know we can build and use filters to perform such kind of bulk actions, but anyway it would be very useful to have this interactive feature.

It is unfathomable that we need to ask for such a basic feature. I have been a paying customer from day one and I am ******. Just like many people, I made the mistake of importing my emails from Google. Boy, do I regret it! I have more than 10,000 emails, and more than 300 pages to delete. Imagine having to go painstakingly through 50 emails at a time. Unforgivable

Look. I made the mistake of importing my gmail account and all the **** that I had forgotten came along. I now have 6600 emails that I need to get rid of. No way I can do that manually.

WebUI has this PARTIALLY covered... I can "select all" - which means ALL e-mails on ONE Page...
IF I want to select all of the "unread" or "search-result" E-mails, and I mean ALL of them to do bulk actions, I need to do this Page by Page - which is frustratingly slow.and the iOS App doesn't have it at all...

This is so important. I like to clean up email while waiting places, e.g. doctor's office, etc. I cannot clear out my email box from my phone. I have to go to my desktop to clean things up. I am on Android.

I'm interested in this feature on ProtonMail phone app too, and it should allow to select emails based on provided pattern. Then, we can apply a certain action on them, e.g. move or delete selected emails.
