  1. Unable to add additional people or forward a meeting notice.

Need to be able to add additional people to a received meeting notice, or forward it to others. Currently when I receive a meeting notice from someone, I cannot add any other participants or forward it to others so that it creates a meeting notice for the new person. This is extremely annoying.

  2. Add the ability to write rules based on message body content

As far as I know, every other mail client lets you create rules based on if the message body contains certain words. I notice things getting through my spam filters because of new domains, or shared domains, and that's bad. There are certain words that are always going to be considered spam to people, so it doesn't matter where they come from. Even if you think it's not a great way to create a rule, I think you should give us the option, especially since your refuse to let us quickly add to existing filters. As an example, I get…

  3. Notification when mail arrives and is moved to a folder

At present I have to check folders to see if a mail item has arrived there.

It should be possible to see a notification, within the browser app, that mail has arrived and been moved straight to a nominated folder.

  5. When creating a group in PM, allow existing group to be added

When creating a group, it would be useful to be able to insert an existing group as an address.

An example use case would be to have a 'core' group and a 'full distribution' group

  6. mail mailgroups reply all

When replying to an email received from a mailing list, like googlegroups, I don't want to receive that emailt twice. Neither if I send with reply all option nor somebody answers to the list with reply all option.

  7. Request for support for Apple and Microsoft in Easy Switch.

In the past I used email accounts from both Apple and Microsoft with a number of companies, and at the moment it is difficult for me to continue using Proton Mail. The only one currently supported is Gmail, and that is not sufficient. Proton Mail ought to support all the major email providers.

  8. How do I recover an OST file and save it as EML or MSG?

To recover an OST file and save its emails as EML or MSG, use an OST recovery tool that can scan the corrupted or inaccessible file and export the recovered mailbox data in multiple formats. Start by selecting the OST file and running the scan. After the recovery process, preview the emails and other mailbox items to verify the required data. The SysInfo OST Recovery Tool supports three recovery modes—Standard, Advanced, and Deep—and can recover emails, attachments, contacts, calendars, tasks, journals, and other Outlook data. Once the required emails are recovered, you can save them as EML or MSG files.…

  9. The mail header should take less space (Desktop/Web)

The current mail header in Desktop/Web app wastes a lot of space. For most desktops PC the screen is pretty large and so the current mail header has a lot empty space.

At the same time the headers takes a lot of screen high. Especially with labels and info messages like mailing list or tracking protection on it.

With a 27" display often the message content dosnt start below 1/3 of the screen. Witch is prrety bad since the content usually is the important part of a mail.

In gmail in comparsion the mail header is ofthen half of the…

  10. "Mailing list header" should not waste that much space

The "This message is from a mailing list. - Unsubscribe" currently takes up a lot of screen space!

While I like the option to easily unsubscribe, its not a task that I do often. So that feature should not take that much space.

Also the message "This message is from a mailing list" is not very helpflul since its already clear that this is the case for most mails.

The mail header currently has a lot of empty space (on large screen). Please change that feature so it stays aside and did not make the header larger.

  11. Allow to pin or always display a label/folder

I have a hand full of labels that I use every day. So I currently need to keep the labels list open while I dont need moste of them. That's very distracting and makes the UI confusing.

Please add an option to always show a label even when the Labels are closed. This makes sens for Folders to.

    Gmail also have this option.

  13. Add "Mark All as Read" for Entire Mailbox (including imported emails)

Title: Add "Mark All as Read" for Entire Mailbox (including imported emails)

    Description:
After importing from Gmail, I have 3000+ unread emails. The only way to mark
them as read is to go through 60+ pages of pagination (50 emails/page), which
    is impractical.

    Feature Request:
    - Add a "Mark all emails in folder/mailbox as read" button in the web UI
    - Allow bulk operations via IMAP/API for programmatic access
    - Consider applying this to all categories, not just folders -> This is very important, as my inbox is now a jumble of everything I had in the right gmail categories,…

  15. Calendar colours are inscrutable.

It's even more difficult for me because I'm colour blind. This feature request would provide colours for people with CVD that are readily distinguishable with common colour names. CVD-friendly palettes and reference material are available. c.f. https://sashamaps.net/resources/20-colors/

What colour, really, is "Fern" or "Olive" or "Pickle" and how do they differ? Do I describe it to a friend as "green" or "yellow" or "brown" or WHAT? FWIW - Plum, Enzian, and Cobalt look identical; Slateblue, Purple, Pink are the same; Cerise = Soil; Carrot, Forest, Pickle identical; Pine = Saraha; Reef is unique. Out of 20 colours, only five are…

  16. Accept Simplelogin reverse alias when creating a group

When creating a group, you cannot use a reverse alias copied from Simplelogin. You need to start typing the address then pick the suggestion you think might be right (contacts may contain >1 entry per individual if they have multiple reverse aliases)

  17. split recurring event generates Google-style _R UID with wrong timestamp (local time, one month early) instead of a fresh UUID

    Summary

When a recurring event is split in Proton Calendar (editing or deleting "this and following events"), the new series is written with a UID of the form <base-id>_R<timestamp>@domain instead of a fresh UUID. Two problems with this:

    1. The _R<timestamp> convention is Google Calendar's private internal ID scheme for split recurring series. It is not part of RFC 5545, where UIDs are opaque identifiers and relationships between instances are expressed through RECURRENCE-ID, never by parsing substrings out of an ID.
    2. The timestamp Proton writes into it is incorrect. Google's format uses the UTC start of the split. Proton writes a…

  18. How do I remove duplicate emails while migrating an IMAP mailbox?

To remove duplicate emails while migrating an IMAP mailbox, use a migration tool with a built-in duplicate removal feature instead of manually identifying repeated messages. SysInfo IMAP Backup Tool includes an advanced deduplication option that compares email details such as the subject, sender, recipient, and message body to identify duplicate emails during the migration process. After connecting your IMAP account, select the required folders and output format, enable the duplicate removal option, and start the migration. The tool can also preserve the original folder hierarchy, attachments, timestamps, and other email metadata while exporting the required data. For large or repeated…

  19. Disable Login for Secondary Email Addresses

I would like to suggest a security feature for Proton accounts: the ability to disable login for secondary email addresses.

Currently, additional Proton addresses associated with the same account can also be used to sign in. It would be useful to have an option for each secondary address such as:

“Allow this address to be used for login: On / Off”

This would allow users to keep their primary Proton address private and use secondary addresses publicly for email communication without increasing the number of identifiers that can be used to access the account.

The secondary address should continue to…

  20. Proton Scribe should be included in the Proton Unlimited plan

It's not really an "Unlimited" plan if a feature is left out. Why is Scribe included in the Duo and Family plans, but not Unlimited? I don't need a plan for more than one person, and I don't need any more storage space, so having to upgrade to a multi-person plan as an individual is an expensive option just to get this one feature (the only feature lacking on the Unlimited plan).
