One-off disposable labels
The saved labels are great for organising emails into pre-conceived categories.
But often I just want to put a unique label on an email so I can easily identify what it's for.
e.g. I have a label "Bookings". I slap that on all my bookings and tickets: flights, hotels, events, restaurants.
But it would be really handy to be able to add a unique label (not to be saved) to each one so that I don't have to open various emails to find the ticket I'm looking for.1 vote -
Add side panel to desktop app so contacts can be managed here and not just on web
Proton Mail has a right-hand side panel for contacts and calendar in the browser version only. I would like the same for the desktop app, please. It makes no sense to me why I have to got to the browser version of Proton Mail to manage my contacts. I should be able to do the same in the desktop app.

Send reminder email to user who booked meeting
Oftentimes, people who book appointments with me through Proton's Calendar Booking solution will forget about the appointment, and eventually not show up.

Enable Ability to Filter Archived Emails In/Out when in All Mail View
Many Proton users rely on All Mail to see everything at once, but archived messages quickly clutter the view and make it harder to find recent or active emails. A simple toggle to include or exclude archived emails—especially in All Mail—would make navigation much cleaner and more efficient.

Thanks to the Proton developers for taking community feedback seriously and continually improving the platform. Many of the user ideas have been implemented and made it easier to use Proton Mail.

Support CardDAV
I wish to access Proton Contacts in iPad Contacts through CardDAV. You support CalDAV, alowing me to show my appointments in Proton Calendar in iPads Calendar, so why not do the same for Contacts?

Remove the name from “from” field
The app or your webapp should not have to include the name of the account. Tuta clearly does not need it to work or any IMAP privacy oriented provider.
Or there is no need to have the capability to create alias if there will be the name of your account printed out in the from field.
So please just make a way to change the name of account to nothing so we can also use other mail forwarding system like addy1 vote -
New alias domains
I attempted to make an account with New York Times on 6/3/2026 using a Proton alias with domain passmail.net and was told to "enter a valid email address". I think the domain is now possibly being added to blacklists. This is the first time I have encountered the issue.
It may help if Proton would once in a while add a new domain for aliases that we could use as a backup. As time goes on, "passmail.net" may be added to more and more blacklists, rendering the alias feature non-functional.

I love the Gmail connection you just rolled out May 2026 but it was very hard for me to find where it is / understand what button I should hit to make it work

Allow filters to work with simply the domain of the email address
I've tried this but it simply does not catch the emails in question. Please make it work, it would drastically reduce the number of filters we need, thanks!

Exclude deleted email from the inbox view
Currently, the inbox shows the email threads that are already deleted and remain in the trashbin. It is unfriendly to see all the deleted email rolled in the top of the new email.

Raise the number of possible filters active at the same time
I am so so far from having set up all of the filters I need for my emails and there's a maximum number of them? I'm a paying customer. We should be able to have an unlimited number.
Especially since @domain.com filters don't work, you can only filter full email addresses for the label filter to correctly function.1 vote -
Allow filter to copy messages as an alternative to move
A new proton user with GB of emails from previous system. I have stopped using it as now on proton.
I have setup a folder structure to allow emails to be stored relative to name of folder. The filter moves the messages correctly, but unless I open main folders to see subfolders with new email count, I don't know what emails have been received. I cannot always respond to notification in real-time.
Allowing a filter option to copy messages rather than just move, means I am aware of what has arrived and can read / respond to it, deleting once…

Started AI course, all exercises connect to various calendars & email systems, but no Proton option, please add Email and Calendar to n8n.io so can include my Proton calendar / email rather than being forced to use GMAIL / GCAL etc.
